While some of us were enjoying the Bank holiday a few of our members were out on the roads taking part at the McKinney games in Lisburn.
This is an all-ability event with distances from a Full marathon, 20miler, Half marathon and a kids fun run, what makes this different to other running events is that every runner who crosses the finish line receives a sealed envelope, inside could be ยฃ25 up to ยฃ5000 cash prize. Event organisers say the concept is designed to celebrate community and inclusivity, giving every runner, regardless of their pace, something to look forward to.
Club runner Ellie Nichols took on the half marathon distance, she finished in the Top 20 with a PB time of 1.44.46, well done Ellie great running.
Next up was Andrea and Scarlet Thompson they were taking part in the 5k, Andrea finished with a time of 24.18, Scarlet finished with a PB time of 25.22, well done ladies.

If you are interested in starting your running journey our club training takes place on Mondays and Wednesdays at 18.45, at various locations.

We also have junior training for kids aged 10+ who train on Thursday evenings at 19.00 at Londonderry park. You can get in touch via email at [email protected] or send a message on social media.
