Fished the Mayfly challenge yesterday on lough Erne, great days fishing with Sam from Irish Fly Supplies Ltd. We ended up finishing 3rd. Some cracking fish were caught. Even managed a wee perch 🤣.

It was a great night to be out, and yes I got a double hook up surprised I landed them after the fight the gave and one broke the leader while jumping in the net 🤣🤣

For me I get as much pleasure from seeing other people catch fish on my flies as I do catching them myself. No sooner had he got them and was out trying them, and what a cracker he landed well done Garvin Taggart .

Testing the new Piscarifly Venator Lake rod, I was fishing 7/8 weight lines which it handled with ease (too eager lol) fished club waters and handled the hard fighting rainbows impeccably. I love their attention to detail the section dots are a must and something a lot of rods miss these days is a hook loop near the butt and they have it. I have to say I was extremely impressed by the performance rod and it's fast on its way to being my go too rod! Cant wait to fish it for the browns on the big lochs we fish. This rod can handle the most delicate flies and the big nasties for the bows. The roll over was fantastic and the buzzers were landing perfectly. Great work Peter Driver and Mark Driver.
