We’re delighted to celebrate a very special milestone for one of our Flight family members, Alfie.

After an incredibly challenging journey, Alfie has now completed his treatment and rang the bell to mark this amazing milestone. 🎉

Although Alfie still has scans and tests ahead, this is a moment worth celebrating, and we couldn't be happier for him and his family. ❤️

A fundraiser was recently held to support Angel Wishes, a charity that provided important support to Alfie and his family, as well as helping to fund a special adventure for Alfie when he finishes his treatment.

Yesterday we said farewell to one of our longest-standing coaches, Charlotte, as she embarks on a new career as a classroom assistant closer to home.

Having been involved with Flight since the very beginning, the impact Charlotte has had on our gymnasts, coaches, parents and the wider club community is immeasurable.

You’ve been with us through the highs and the lows, from the early days at Ashfield and Edmund Rice to finally finding our full-time home and building Flight into what it is today. We simply wouldn’t be where we are now – with one of the finest facilities and strongest programmes in the country – without your commitment, dedication and passion over the past 14 years.

You have played such a huge part in Flight’s story and in shaping the club and the people within it. There are countless gymnasts and coaches who are better for having had you as part of their journey.

You’ll be missed very much by everyone at Flight, but we’re also incredibly excited for you as you begin this next chapter in your career.

Thank you for everything, Charlotte. After 14 years, you leave a legacy at Flight that will last for many more. You’ll always be part of the Flight family ❤️
