π΄ββοΈπββοΈ CARLINGFORD ADVENTURE RACE 2026 β GET SIGNED UP! πββοΈπ΄ββοΈ
Something brand new is coming to our local area next month! The Carlingford Adventure Race takes place on Saturday 10th October 2026, bringing a fantastic new cycling and trail-running challenge to Carlingford and the spectacular Cooley Peninsula.
There are two course options, so you donβt have to be a seasoned adventure racer to give it a go:
π΄ Sport / Short Course β 30km cycling + 5km trail run
19km Bike β‘οΈ 5km Run through Jenkinstown Forest β‘οΈ 11km Bike back towards Carlingford.
π₯ Expert / Long Course β 52km cycling + 12km running
A serious challenge over five legs, including the Lumpers trail and Jenkinstown Forest, with around 1,220m of climbing.
The cycling sections are on-road, while the running takes you off-road through the forests and mountain trails of the Cooley Peninsula. The Sport course in particular is designed to be accessible to people taking on their first adventure race.
Itβs brilliant to see an event like this coming to the area, and with that scenery it should be some day out. π
