Greenfield Park picked up their first league win of the season in emphatic fashion with a 4-0 victory over Newry Rovers at Jennings Park.

Michael Green opened the scoring after 15 minutes, with his goal separating the sides for much of the afternoon.

The lads then turned on the style late on. Darren Bannon doubled the advantage on 85 minutes before Padraig Magill made it 3-0 just four minutes later.

Green then rounded off an impressive performance in stoppage time, grabbing his second of the afternoon to complete a convincing 4-0 win. ⚽️⚽️

Attention now turns to Ashgrove Rovers as Greenfield look to build on last weekend’s result and keep the momentum going.

Greenfield Park opened their league campaign with a 2-2 draw at home to Killeavy United.

The visitors took an early lead, but Darren Bannon got Greenfield back on level terms shortly after the break.

Killeavy went back in front midway through the second half, before Adam Travers equalised with ten minutes remaining to earn Greenfield a point.

Attention now turns to Newry Rovers as the lads look to build on that opening-day result.

After last week’s game was called off due to a frozen pitch, we’re set to get going again as the league restarts after the winter break.

The lads have been working hard and are looking forward to getting back on the pitch against Archview.

Last Week’s Result:
Greenfield picked up a brilliant 4–2 win over Rockview. Rian McKevitt bagged two great goals, with Dylan Devlin and Cormac Flanagan also getting on the scoresheet. It was a strong all-round performance and a fully deserved result.

We’ll be hoping to carry that momentum into this weekend’s game.

Great 4–2 win for Greenfield today against Rockview. We started well and went 2–0 up with two tidy finishes from Rian McKevitt. Rockview pulled one back, but Dylan Devlin hit our third to make it 3–1.

They scored again to make it 3–2, but Cormac Flanagan settled it late on with our fourth to wrap up the win.

Solid performance and fully deserved result 💪
