Coaching isn't just about hitting the fuzzy yellow things, it's about helping people with their tennis, and especially helping young people along their life journeys. Coach Jon A was thrilled to see former pupil Emily and so pleased she now captains her Uni team!

Congrats to former coach Mike and Hayley for getting married. Coaches JB, Jon and Steve A and Adri, Fran and Fran shared the day with them. Mike is still a big part of the history of Heron and was a pleasure to have as part of the team.

With such a close knit coaching team, the group got together for a little food and football golf. Picture of a few in a spot of bother! A surprise winner was crowned on the day.

Padel Comps Round Up

Sunday 16th August saw 16 players battle out the men's comp. Congrats to Winners James/Xan and finalists Tom/Zach.
The Ladies comp was superbly attended with Amelia/Paige coming out on top vs Farrah/Alison.
Then to wrap up the string of comps was the Men's over 40's won by Paul/Justin with Anthony/Ali finishing second. Thanks all for entering.

ITF Newquay 2026

We are delighted to bring, once again, the International Tennis Federation event to Heron on the 17-20 September. We are on the lowest level of tiers so there is no excuse why so many members/Cornwall players should not play and win! Events start at the 30 year old category. Events are every 5 years, giving you a chance to play players of similar ages for enjoyable and competitive matches. Here with link to enter. Club Champs is fast approaching. We have refreshed the Club Champs at Heron with a few extra categories and a change of dates to encourage others to take part and enjoy some Heron members only competition.
