Every summer, we bring together a group of people who become not only our team, but friends.

We ask everyone to give 100%. Just as importantly, we ask them to work together and look out for one another, both on and off the water.

We get up early, work late, and every so often come in on a day off to cover for a teammate. That’s all part of being a team.

Often, it’s the little things that make the biggest difference: staying a few extra minutes to help put the boat away, carrying the skis up when you have a spare hand, or simply noticing when someone could use some help.

A great team isn’t just about doing your own job well. It’s about being there for each other and giving that little bit extra,l.

That’s exactly what this group did in abundance, and for that, we are so grateful. Thank you. 🙏

Before they all head off on exciting travels and new adventures, begin at new universities, or return to university, it was lovely to get as many of them together as possible for a little fun and, most importantly, to say thank you.

Thank you for the early mornings, the late finishes, the hard work, the laughs, the helping hands, and for always looking out for one another. We hope you know how much we appreciate everything you’ve given this summer.

And to those who couldn’t make it, you were definitely missed! ❤️

Here’s to our summer team of 2026!

It’s not until you train someone to drive a banana boat properly that you realise just how much skill is involved.

It’s all about feel.

Keeping constant tension through the tow line not too much, not too little. Feathering the throttle and driving the inflatable through the resistance of the wake, without overpowering it. You need to be pulling the inflatable, not allowing the inflatable to dictate what the boat does.

Then there’s knowing when not to pull.

Sometimes you deliberately allow slack into the line, giving the banana enough freedom to topple safely at slow speed. Then, at exactly the right moment, you take the load back up and pull it clear. Too early, too late, too much throttle or not enough they all produce very different results.

That judgement takes time to develop. It takes practice, good instruction and an understanding of what’s happening behind the boat, not just what’s happening at the helm.

Superyacht operators and crew, take note: towing isn’t as straightforward as it looks.

Whether you’re towing inflatables, teaching wakeboarding, wakesurfing or waterskiing, the driving is the foundation of it all.

A great setup with an inexperienced driver can mean endless failed starts and frustrated guests. A skilled driver can read the rider, manage the line and throttle, anticipate what’s about to happen and dramatically increase the success rate.

And a better success rate ultimately means one thing: more time having fun on the water.

We offer practical tow sports driver training designed to give crew the techniques, feel and confidence that only come from proper time behind the wheel.

If your crew could benefit from training or you know a yacht, captain or crew who could get in touch.

Learning the fundamentals is where it all begins. Before stepping into the water, it’s essential to build the right foundation on land. Take your time, follow each step, and break the movement down into manageable parts. Master the basics first, and the progression in the water will come much more naturally.

Back in June, we ran a Level 2 Waterski & Wakeboard Coaching Course. Here’s a behind the scenes look at a boom session demonstration, where we showed the group how to deliver an effective, safe, and confidence building session.

The boom is a fantastic coaching tool, and getting the fundamentals right helps riders progress quickly while keeping safety at the heart of every session.
