Belle vue Dominate Across the Green to Secure 12–2 Victory.

Belle vue Bowls Club produced a commanding display to defeat Firbank Bowls Club12–2, claiming victory on three of the four rinks in perfect playing conditions. On a superb green under clear skies, Belle vue combined consistency with composure to take control early and rarely loosen their grip, earning a valuable result in the NBA competition.
The contest featured plenty of tactical battles, with Belle vue repeatedly finding the grass through precise drawing shots and excellent weight control. Whenever Firbank threatened to build momentum, Belle vue answered with accurate conversions, clever positional bowls and well-judged trail shots that kept the jack in favourable territory. Winning the key ends across three rinks allowed the visitors to steadily widen the margin, while Firbank found scoring opportunities difficult to sustain against disciplined opposition.
Belle vue’s all-round performance was built on teamwork, patience and smart decision-making, with every rink contributing to the convincing overall result. The win strengthens their position in the NBA standings and provides another confidence boost, while Firbank will look to regroup and convert more of the crucial ends when they return to the green.

It was another enjoyable afternoon of bowls at Belle Vue on Saturday, as we welcomed Garndiffaith Bowls Club for a match played in fantastic spirits. The glorious weather provided perfect conditions, our green played well, and there was plenty of friendly banter throughout the afternoon, making it a game enjoyed by everyone involved.

There were plenty of positives to take from the performance, with every player continuing to show improvement as the season progresses as has been evident in our good wins over the last two weeks. Belle Vue claimed two of the four rinks and competed well throughout, although Garndiffaith took the overall victory by 10-4.

A special mention must go to our volunteer greenkeepers and groundspersons. After a difficult spell over the past year or so, it's brilliant to see our green starting to look healthy again, and that's down to the countless hours of hard work they continue to put in behind the scenes.

We'd like to thank The Garn for an enjoyable match and wish them every success in the remainder of the season, both in their internal and external competitions. We look forward to making the trip up the valleys to meet them again in September.

Morning drink for our thirsty green !

Belle Vue traveled to Pontypool today for a match against PILCS Bowls Club. Despite being two players short of a full squad, the team put in a determined performance today and gave 110% from the first wood to the last.

The weather threatened to bring proceedings to a halt on several occasions, but thankfully the rain mostly held off, allowing everyone to enjoy a full afternoon of competitive bowls.

There were plenty of positive performances across all four rinks, with the team battling hard throughout the match and securing a well-earned rink win. The commitment, effort and team spirit on display were a credit to the club, especially given the challenges faced before a wood had even been delivered.

While the overall result didn't fall our way, there was no shortage of determination and good bowling throughout the afternoon, giving the team plenty to build on in the weeks ahead.

We would like to thank PILCS for their warm hospitality and an enjoyable match, wish them every success for the remainder of the season, and look forward to meeting them again later in the year.

Belle Vue Bowls Club recorded their first MBA League victory of the season with an impressive 12-2 win over Pontymister Welfare Bowls Club on home soil today.

The hosts Belle Vue, produced a strong all-round performance, claiming victory on three of the four rinks to secure a deserved result. Every player contributed to the success, with the team showing significant improvement compared to previous outings and demonstrating the progress being made throughout the squad.

It was also encouraging to see supporters in attendance, with their backing helping to create a positive atmosphere and providing a welcome boost to player morale.

This important first win gives Belle Vue plenty to build on as attention now turns to the next MBA League fixture away to PILCS.

Belle Vue narrowly fell to a 60-58 defeat away at Whiteheads in the NBA this afternoon, but there were plenty of positives to take from the performance.

The team showed great improvement throughout the match, competing strongly against a solid Whiteheads side in a closely fought contest where we won two rinks from four. There was plenty of quality on display from both teams, with the game played in good spirits and full of banter both on and off the green.

Despite the narrow loss, Belle Vue can take confidence from the progress shown and will look to build on the performance in the coming fixtures.

We wish Whiteheads all the best for the rest of the season.
