Today is World Duchenne Awareness Day 🎈

World Duchenne Awareness Day takes place globally on September 7th to stand in solidarity with individuals and families affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). DMD is a rare, progressive genetic disorder that causes muscle weakness and wasting due to a lack of the essential muscle protein dystrophin

🔬 Why September 7th? (7/9) 🤷 🎈

The date was chosen symbolically because the dystrophin gene—the faulty gene responsible for causing Duchenne—contains 79 exons. Duchenne is a rare, progressive genetic disorder linked to the X chromosome that primarily affects 1 in 5,000 newborn boys, leading to progressive muscle weakness, motor issues, and respiratory or cardiac complications over time.

From 0-2 down, to winning 8-5 is phenomenal considering we haven't played in weeks and Albion are a fantastic team.
