Hello everyone! I’m Paul Joseph Clist, a passionate British carp angler based in Newent, Gloucestershire.

For me, carp fishing is about far more than simply catching fish. It’s about preparation, patience, determination and constantly learning from every session. Whether I’m fishing from dawn until dusk on Newent Lake or tackling a completely new venue, I always give it everything.

Through my page, I share the complete and honest journey—the rigs, baiting approaches, changing conditions, screaming takes, frustrating losses and unforgettable captures. Fish welfare remains at the heart of everything I do, with every carp treated with the respect and care it deserves.

I’m incredibly proud to be taking the next step of my journey alongside Mindset Baits. I’m looking forward to putting the products through their paces during real sessions, sharing honest feedback and hopefully banking some incredible carp along the way.
