Final day of summer camp

We spent some time today working on our fire craft. We covered topics such as how start, maintain and put out a fire as well as how to do such a thing safely being conscious of our environment. Roasting marshmallows and making bread today was also a day of stories and great debate over the fire.

Summer scheme activity

Unfortunately Ely our last couple uploads seem to have failed so here are a few photos of our activities over the past couple days.

We have been out Coasteering, paddle boarding and shelter building

Week 2 day 2 of summer camp.

Despite the forecast giving predicting a wet day it turned out to be a great day with the sun making an appearance. Which was perfect for today's activities of rock climbing and abseiling.

While this might be the last week of this year's summer camps the adventures do not stop there. Today we took part in one of our scheduled family events enjoying some Ghyll scrambling at bloody bridge jumping and swimming in perfectly clear pools and scrambling over boulder fields

Day 5 of summer camp.

After a full week of activities we opted to finish on a more relaxed note taking the time to sit by a fire, toast marshmallows and cook/eat some bread on the fire.

Day 4 of summer camp. Today we took to the north coast to take part in some Coasteering doing some jumps, climbing and lots of swimming I think it's fair to say we are all going to sleep well tonight.

Tomorrow we have some bushcraft to look forward to practising our fire craft and checking out our bread making skills.

Day 3 of summer camp, today we took to Tollymore forest park to test our shelter building skills followed by a unanimous demand that I return them for a second round of Ghyll scrambling which turned out to be a great choice!

With Coasteering lined up for tomorrow we are feeling very excited.
