Gosforth RFC is proud to be part of Impact ‘25 — the £12.13 million initiative growing women’s and girls’ rugby across England. But this isn’t just about funding; it’s about voices heard.
Our Lionesses told us exactly what mattered: → A space worth hanging out in → Representation within the club → Definitely no pink!
Since the end of the season, our volunteers have:
🏉 Knocked down walls
🏉 Installed ~1 million screws (maybe exaggerated, but feels like it!)
🏉 Painted
🏉 Started refurbishing the bar and entrance
🏉 New flooring arriving soon
We’re aiming to unveil before season start. Huge thanks to everyone who’s donated time, skills, and resources.

As we continue into our strong pre-season, we would like to welcome our new coaching staff for the 2026/27 Counties North East 2 North season.

Ross has accepted taking the helm in what is going to be looking like an exciting but challenging season ahead. With Ross, he has Yannick as an assistant coach who some may recognise from the referee panels.

We can’t wait to see what these two have in store to grow our game as a team and also as a club.

Please make them feel welcome when you see them around the club!
