What another fantastic day! 🚴‍♂️☀️

The Great North Bike Ride is always a brilliant event, and Cycle Centre Newcastle were there again this year to help keep everyone rolling. 🔧🚲

A few mechanical problems were sorted at the start, with our fantastic team also out on the roadside helping riders get back on their bikes and keep going.

Another very well organised event — well done to everyone involved! 👏

We’ll be closed at our main store on Bank Holiday Monday.

After a big weekend supporting and helping out at the Great North Bike Ride, we’ve decided to give our hard-working staff a well-deserved day off. 💙🚲

Our Express location will be open as normal, so you can still pop in and see us there!

We’ve had these Estarli G700 gravel electric bikes in for a little while now, so I thought it was about time I gave one a proper test ride!

With a full carbon frame, carbon bars and carbon wheels, this is a seriously lightweight electric gravel bike.

Surly Disc Trucker — Back to Life 🚲

Big overhaul completed on this stunning Surly Disc Trucker! 🔧 New components have been fitted throughout, replacing all worn-out parts to ensure smooth, reliable performance.

The bike was fully stripped down, with internal frame protection applied to help prevent rust and protect this super-quality steel frame for many more years of adventures.

We’ve given this lovely bike a new lease of life, and we absolutely love the custom hand-painted frame — they give it a truly unique look! 🎨

Ready for many more miles. 🚲💨

Travellers' Tails 🚲🐾

We had a great little on-the-spot repair for a man and his four-legged backpacking buddy! 🐕🚲

They were out bikepacking when a gear issue put a bit of a spanner in the works. Luckily, it turned out to be a simple fix — just a new gear cable needed fitting.

A quick repair and they were back on the road and ready for their adventure again! 🙌

We love helping keep cyclists — and their furry companions — moving! ❤️

This Trek Marlin 4 has been specially adapted so both brakes are operated from a single brake lever on the right-hand side. This means both the brakes and the gears can be controlled using just the right hand, making cycling more accessible and comfortable for the rider.
