Westerhope Golf Club is situated just 4.5 miles (10 minutes drive) to the West and from the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne and just over 1 mile from the A1. The Golf Club is a parklands style golf course and first opened on 21st June 1941 and was designed by Sandy Herd born in St. Andrews, Scotland in 1868 and who won the Open Championship in 1902 at Hoylake.

⛳ Sponsors Day 2026
A fantastic day at Westerhope Golf Club on Friday for our annual Sponsors Day!
Despite some windy conditions, everyone enjoyed 18 holes with a shotgun start, with bacon sandwiches and coffee beforehand followed by a meal and presentation after the golf.
🏆 Congratulations to Shaun Mussett Catering, who took the win with 91 points on countback!
A huge thank you to Barrie for organising another great day, and to all of our sponsors for their continued support of the club.
We hope everyone enjoyed the day and look forward to welcoming you all back again! 👏⛳
