I went to Doha initially for 3 months to save some money to pay back my parents who had put deposits down for my wedding that never materialised 🤷🏼‍♀️ Just like most people, I never expected to stay as long as I have now moving into the end of 10 years.

I definitely didn’t know how much those 10 years would change me.
Doha has given me opportunities I would never have had if I’d stayed in the UK. I coached people I’d never have crossed paths with, opened gyms, managed teams, built businesses and learnt more about this industry than any qualification could have taught me.

There were years I absolutely loved it but there were times I was so lonely. Times I have worried about because I know I can’t stay forever and times I wanted to get on the next flight home.

Would I tell every PT to pack their bags and move to Doha? Absolutely not.

But for me, so far this 10 years has became one of the biggest and best chapters of my life.
And I think it’s probably time I talked about all of it….

I’ve always wanted to be the old lady at the bar with so many ridiculous stories that no one really knows which ones are true…. I think I’m definitely on my way 😅

Somehow I’ve managed to fit about 5 different lives into 40 years. But I wouldn’t change any of it. The chaos, the questionable decisions, the crazy risks and the numerous times I’ve had absolutely no idea what I was doing but did it anyway.

Its made me strong. Good under pressure. Willing to take risks. Probably far too independent.

Just keep f*cking moving 🤟🏻

Open a business they say, it’ll be fun they say 😅

The last few weeks have had some extreme highs and extreme lows.

There have been days I’ve felt on top of the world, so proud of what I’ve built. And days where even replying to a text has felt like too much (yes, I need a PA).

I’m also one of those people who will tell everyone I’m absolutely fine regardless of what is really going on, so I probably don’t always show the harder side of it 😅

But, there have been people who’ve shown up for me in ways they probably don’t even realise.

A message at the right time. Booking a session. Bringing a friend. Sharing a post. Just asking how it’s actually going and genuinely wanting to hear the answer.

Small things that haven’t felt very small on the harder days.

So if you’ve supported me or N11 in any way — I see it, and I appreciate it more than you know. 🤍

Full send lately.

Differing versions of 14 is now the majority of my camera roll from mum 😏

One of my pet hates.

If your client can’t lift the BB without your hands on there, you are doing something wrong. It doesn’t make you look macho, it’s not cool and it’s definitely not the sign of a good coach.

Coaching is physically tiring for sure., but it’s the emotional side that really drains you 🥱.

Constantly motivating people to fit sessions into their schedules, managing expectations and explaining why results don’t happen one week into a programme — while also being under pressure to deliver client numbers.

Sometimes you realise you’re putting more energy into someone else’s wellbeing than they’re willing to put into their own.

You genuinely want people to succeed. But wanting it more than they do? That’s exhausting. Do you agree? 🤔

Less Pilates cliches. More actual progress please 🤟🏻

Anything you would add to the retirement list? 👀

The reality of opening my first Pilates studio 🔑

A very glamorous journey consisting of:

A ball getting stuck in the neighbour’s drain and flooding the studio.

Buying plants to make the place look lovely, then promptly killing every single one.

Keeping a toilet I’m not allowed to get rid of, so naturally it lives in my garage.

Turns out opening your studio is mostly solving problems you genuinely never imagined you’d have 🫠

But then I see people actually in here, using the space and bringing their friends.

And that’s what makes it all worth it.

As a PT and Pilates studio owner, I’m obviously all for prioritising your health.

But in the same vein, I’m also all for not trying to optimise every fu***ng second of your life 🤷🏼‍♀️.

Sometimes the healthier choice is going to bed early, getting your steps in and eating your protein.
Sometimes it’s staying for the extra drink and bag of chips because you’re having the best time.

Equally important, if you ask me.

Kinda chic to remember we’re actually here to live a little 😅
