There’s a 35-year gap between these two photos. In 1991, (13 years old) I passed my Shodan and received a Wallsend Wado Kai Dan grade trophy from Ray Gallagher Sensei as a memento of the grading. The club eventually closed in the late 90s and we had a few brief training sessions in the late 2000s (with Geoff Garner Sensei) before going our separate ways. Last Wednesday, 5th August, we reconnected and Ray Sensei has returned to training. It was an honour to have Ray Sensei continue training at my club. He started my Wado Ryu journey and is now a part of it once more.

Hi All

A friendly reminder that there will be no training at Daverson Hall this morning due to a family fun day event taking place at the community centre.

We will be conducting a demonstration at 12:30 consisting of all aspects of Wado Ryu.
