Triple Extension Performance

Several weeks ago I got the chance to attend my first ever TASS (www.tass.gov.uk) TASS Conference, here in lovely Newcastle!

I have to say it was such an enjoyable experience. From warm and hilarious Geordie style welcoming to witnessing some highly insightful and interesting presentations and meeting tons of experts in various fields, all of whom were so humble and down to earth.

If anyone is ever given the chance to go to this conference I highly recommend it!

It was a great honour for me to give a speech and give the first ever yearly award for Female and Male S&C Athlete of the Year Awards at the 2025/2026 Awards night for i2i Soccer Academy in Northumbria University Northumbria Uni Sport.

Also, it was the first time for me to give a speech in front of such a massive crowd. Thank you to all the staff and athletes for believing in me and allowing me to assist with making these players fitter and better!

Massive well done to .reyes and Tristan Severin for being such dedicated and ambitious athletes. Well deserved! It has been such a great pleasure working with you both!

Was amazing to see our two TASS Athletes Jason Keane (centre) and Stewart Pimlett (second right) and the team compete at the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics for Team GB in the Paralympic Curling

I feel privileged for having had the opportunity to support such amazing athletes at our state of the art facility at Sport Central to ensure they stay at the top of their game, and be prepared for these Winter Paralympics.

Incredibly proud of the NU female team of for their recent achievements! ⚽

Not only did they win the BUCS Northern Conference cup but are now officially BUCS League winners and will be going up a league next season 🏆🏆

I cannot share how proud I am of all the players and coaches for their dedication and resilience! 🔥

I am pleased to share that I have successfully completed the Female Body Course by . A very insightful experience when it comes to learning about optimising the approach when working with female athletes.

This season (2024/2025) I had the chance to lead educational beginning and end of season presentations for students who play for , together with some great physios ( & Rosie Smith) from .

This would, hopefully, assist the players more with understanding how and why things are done in a specific way. Thank you to all who helped with organising this and a BIG thank you to all who were there to listen!

When end of season comes and all the games are finished why not enjoy the sunny weather and do some fun sessions?

Had a such a fun time with some of the teams, which I work with at , .

With some we had a picnic with some tasty sandwiches and pancakes, whereas with others we organised a fun and challenging game of capture the flag.

What a season it has been! I became part of a highly supportive and friendly staff team that cares for all of its members like a family and added to the growing S&C (strength & conditioning) team of 🏰

Most importantly, one of my interns (Andrew Leech) received the award for Sports Intern of the year (2024) and I had the honour to take it on his behalf. He has been more than a phenomenal intern, pushing his limits time and a time again and going beyond what anyone else would and raising the bar for what interns can achieve in one year to a whole new level! To everyone in the S&C industry: be on the lookout! Because this person can end up being the next best thing! 💪🏽

Last but not the least I would like to give a shout out to all the teams I had the chance to work with this year from both our University's Tier 1 and I2i squads. Some of which include the women's and , who were nominated for team of the year and the teams of who have 3 players represent their respectful countries' national teams (Haiti, Armenia and the Bahamas). I can definitely say I am more than proud of all of the teams I worked with this year, who all put a lot of hard work into their S&C sessions, and am extremely thankful to be given the chance to to coach them! 🙌🏼

It was really nice to see these strong, capable and committed ladies in action! 🙌🏼

Also, a pleasure for me to be able to empower them this year to be the best version of themselves as their S&C coach and I genuinely hope they continue to work hard and achieve further success in all areas of life! 💪🏽
