Sully’s walks used to be a complete nightmare.
He was fully invested in the environment and found it really difficult to disengage from distractions as they went past.
After his day board and train, he’s now walking like an absolute pro.
We didn’t use magic. We showed him that we could be more exciting than everything else happening around him.
Through sniffing games, chase games and gradually building his engagement, Sully learnt that we were the reinforcement. Once that clicked, we transferred the skills over to his owners, and they are absolutely smashing it.
The result? More focus, calmer walks and a much happier dog and family.

A small change made a massive difference to this dog’s lead walking 🐾
Instead of allowing her to zigzag from side to side, we shortened the lead, kept her walking on one side and rewarded her on that same side.
This gave her a clear idea of where she should be, helped build engagement and stopped her scanning all over the place.
Most importantly, no more getting tripped up by the dog! 😅

Milo’s productivity report for today:
❌ Played with the builders’ equipment
❌ Stole things that didn’t belong to him
❌ Used the work computer to call his mates
✅ Looked innocent
✅ Wagged his tail
✅ Blamed someone else
A busy day in the office for this little troublemaker 😂🐾
Stop trying to run your dog into the ground 🐕
A physically tired dog is not always a fulfilled dog. In fact, constantly relying on longer walks, more running and endless games can simply teach your dog to build more stamina.
The goal is not just to tire your dog out. It is to help them use their brain too.
A short training session, a sniffy walk or a simple enrichment activity can provide valuable mental stimulation. Sniffing allows dogs to gather information, process their environment and engage in natural behaviour. Training encourages focus, problem-solving and communication, while also helping your dog learn how to settle.
Sometimes 10 minutes of thoughtful brain work can do more for your dog than an hour of frantic physical exercise.
A balanced dog needs more than a tired body. They need opportunities to think, explore, learn and decompress too 🧠🐾

Your dog is tuning you out. 🙉
Watch how little I say in this video. Dog training isn’t about endless chatter to your dog, that just becomes white noise. What actually gets your dog’s attention is your timing and your body language. When you’re clear, calm and consistent, your dog listens better with fewer words.
Try this today and see how fast your dog responds.
Mali vs Mali: Head Balance Edition 🐾
Milo vs Monika. Same challenge, very different strategies. Watch as they each balance an object on their head, getting harder every round. Spoiler: Monika took the crown in the end.

Good trainers don’t just train dogs. They train owners too 🐾
We could take your dog away for two weeks and teach them everything perfectly, but if the right training isn’t continued at home, those results may not last.
Dogs learn through consistency, clear communication and repetition. That’s why we teach you exactly what to do, including:
🐶 The importance of timing
🐶 Where and how to reward
🐶 How to communicate clearly with your dog
🐶 How to build good habits into everyday life
Once you understand how your dog learns, everything starts to fall into place. The goal isn’t just a well-trained dog while they’re with us. It’s giving you the skills and confidence to continue making progress together.

Leash reactivity isn’t always aggression.
Sometimes, dogs are simply reacting to feeling trapped. Off lead, they can create space, but on a short lead, they can’t move away, so they lunge and bark to make that space happen.
That’s what we taught this dog: how to create space calmly, even on lead 🐾

A new baby in the house is a big adjustment for a dog too.
Every time this baby cried, the dog would bark. Understandable - it’s a new sound, a stressful sound, and the dog didn’t know what to do with it.
The common fix people try is to give the dog treats or attention the moment they start barking, to calm them down. But that actually teaches the dog the opposite lesson: bark, and good things happen. You end up rewarding the exact behaviour you’re trying to stop.
What we did instead was get ahead of it. We got the dog comfortable with baby noises before it became a problem, then worked through proper desensitisation to crying specifically - building up his tolerance slowly, so the sound stopped meaning “stress” and started meaning nothing at all.
Now when the baby cries, the dogs sleep right through it
The first thing we do when a day train arrives isn’t launch into intense training and expect them to know a million things straight away.
We focus on building a relationship first. 🤍
Relaxed sniffy walks, scent games, playtime, cuddles and plenty of time to settle in and feel comfortable.
Trust is everything. We want them to learn that being with us is rewarding, that good things happen, and that they are safe.
Because without that connection, the training simply wouldn’t work.
The relationship comes first. The training comes next. 🐾
