Blakelaw Football Club

Yesterday saw u13 inter take on longhoughton away in the opener of their 26/27 season.
With almost half a team of new players, some which haven't played on a team before and awful weather every single one of our boys went on that pitch and put on a great performance.
We were 2-0 up at half time but the excitement didnt end there. Despite being soaked to the bone and the rain not giving way we battled on and finished the game 5-0.

For our first league game of the season this lunchtime we made the short trip down to Red House Farm to play their Kestrels..We were comfortable winners and kept a clean sheet as well. On another day we could have scored more

Start of the season for u13 Milan and what a start it was running out 5-1 winners against blyth rangers. Lads played some brilliant football for the majority of the game and the effort and commitment was top notch. Every boy played their part. Hopefully continues all season. Best of luck to blyth for the season ahead.

Even though Joey was picked it was hard to pick as every player was brilliant.

As the season starts this weekend for most of our teams …
This is our 10th year going into this season with nearly 400 kids (boys and girls)
35 teams u6 to u16 plus our senior team.
Thanks to all committee - coaches for putting all their effort and time into Blakelaw we are forever proud of you all - parents for turning up in all weather conditions and helping teams out with fundraising etc - and to all the kids that represent our community club putting us on the map.. with out everyone then this wouldn’t be possible…
And most of all to all the sponsors who have dug deep from the start to the Present to kit our teams out ..

This is by far the most kids and teams we have ever had at Blakelaw football club and we will continue growing and giving kids a chance to play football in the local community …
