🗣️This session is for the players who require high level detail, extra refinement and to develop a greater understanding of ‘Finishing & Attacking Play’.
🗓️Starts Tuesday 8th September 2026
📈 10 years coaching experience and knowledge. Working with International and premier league footballers to aspiring academy footballers. Currently an individual technical coach at a Cat 1 club.
✨What to expect;
• Movement patterns; understanding the timing of movement, why & how to move, creating space to receive the ball / move an opponent.
• Technical detail; not only finishing but the prework to get you into goal scoring positions. Filling the backpack of each players technical toolbox.
• Variety of finishing around the penalty area. First time finishes, shift and finish, cut back finishes, finishing from wide areas etc. Match realistic drills and intensity for extra refinement.
• Working unopposed, semi opposed and full opposed; giving a detailed understanding on movement patterns, body shape, ability to play with disguise and improvise to any given situation.
• Independant 1v1 play aswell and link up play. This gives a greater insight into how to support a player on the ball to gain successful outcomes for you/ them.
🔢 Numbers per session are capped, for maximum repetition, quality detail and Individual understanding, through our guided discovery approach to coaching.

Unbelievable levels!
When the standard is so high, you have to challenge the players through technique, finer detail and decision making.
Session layout:
• 1v1 arrival activity (different pitch sizes)
• Ball mastery; linking to session theme
• Duels to escape pressure / underloaded duels
• Games for understanding; all based around decision making
• Transitional duels
• Mini Tournament
Football is a game of in possession, out of possession and the transitional moment between the two. It’s so important to create a well-rounded player to train this way!
Creating scenarios where players have to make decisions, will improve game awareness, game understanding and quicken up decision making (both on and off the ball)

PSV Eindhoven - Study Trip 🇳🇱⚽️
A superb couple of days in Holland at the PSV Academy.
Watching U10-U17 sessions and gaining valuable insight as to why this club (have and continue to) develop technically outstanding footballers.
There were some similarities (to coaching in England), yet so many differences to their training set up and session delivery. The majority of things I hadn’t seen (much of/ any) before.
Where 1v1 has now become a staple in England at grassroots and academy level football (which is great for development), here 1v1 was only really used as a warm up, which then progressed to a 2v1/ 3v2. This seems to be a staple of PSV coaching principles.
What I’ve seen that’s so refreshing (that I haven’t seen much elsewhere) is their session delivery is based on many transitional drills, which forms a huge part of the game.
The intensity for all age groups within these drills is so high, yet the quality remains superb throughout.
From a recruitment and scouting point of view, they look for players who move well. They don’t look at the physicality of a player until U11/U12. They are more focused on the player being well balanced, has good co-ordination and shows good levels of cognitive ability….refreshing!!
Other than the on pitch sessions, there were so many people I met who were happy to talk football and player development.
• Coaches at all age groups
• Cognitive specialise coach
• New Academy Manager
• Player Liaison Officer
• Head of Grassroots Recruitment / Talent ID Centres
• Sports Scientists
• First Team Scout
• Performance Nutritionist
Overall an unbelievable experience!
On a personal level, trips like this and exposure to different professionals within the club, help me to grow and further develop myself as a coach and player developer.

Superb morning of coaching in collaboration with Birmingham County FA.
As a big advocate of 3v3 football, I started coaching 3v3 / small sided games 4 years ago.
I was delighted to be asked by our governing body to deliver a session that will form part of the new foundations for the 3v3 format. This will educate and give grassroots footballs clubs a better understanding of how to structure, scaffold and progress their teams sessions and ultimately further enhance the potential of aspiring footballers.

Off szn training
A short window of opportunity to address and correct imbalances and areas of under development.
Whether that’s from a technical or physical point of view.
My training methods combine the technical & physical elements of football specific training together.
Why?
To create a stronger, more powerful and robust footballer (not athlete) who will be more flexible and balanced throughout the whole body.
Bi-lateral technical / foot pattern development allows players to be more unpredictable and have higher levels of deception, leading to greater successful outcomes.
This isn’t generic football coaching.
Our training methods have been trusted by International, Premier League, Championship, League One and Serie A footballers over the last 10 years.
