Poor from the off today, had a few decent spells, but never really got a foothold in the game. Barley Mow by far the better side on the day.

Dust ourselves down and go again next week.

Audley Sundays 2-0 Foxley

The lads kicked off the season with a well deserved win this morning.

A good, hardworking performance from every man today, nullified any real threat from the opposition and stuck to the plan to deal with their shape. We opened the scoring after some good work from Matty down the left, his cross was parried to Billy, who fired into the open goal, just before half time.

Clear instructions at half time, stick to the plan and we’ll win the game, exactly what happened. Billy found Curley, who also found the open goal to make it 2-0. Some will say it was dragged shot, but we don’t need to worry about that.

Can’t give anyone any grief this week, other than Bouldy for raiding the Sports Direct bargain bin for his new trainers, absolute raspers. Oh and Jamie ‘Crock of Sh*te’ Harley, shin pads are seriously smart.

Audley Sundays 3-4 Men Unite

Final friendly of pre season ends in a loss. Solid performance from the lads against a good Prem outfit. Probably deserved a draw, but weren’t clinical enough in front of goal.
