The Railway Taverners have been making the trip to play us for the last 10 years, and it’s a fixture that has become a real tradition in our calendar. We’ve shared plenty of great cricket, laughs and memorable days over the years — long may it continue! 🤝🏏

Great to be down at Lydd Cricket Club today as they welcome the Railway Taverners on the second day of their tour.
With Lydd and New Romney & Littlestone the two remaining cricket clubs on the Romney Marsh, it's important that we support each other and keep cricket thriving in our local community.

Tomorrow the Railway Taverners head over to us at New Romney to finish their tour weekend.

What a fantastic evening! 🏏💙💛
A massive thank you to everyone who joined us last night for our annual social as we welcomed our good friends, the Railway Taverners, back on their tour.
It was brilliant to see so many people together enjoying the evening and supporting the club. Events like this remind us that cricket is about far more than what happens on the pitch — it’s about friendships, community and bringing people together.
A special thank you to the Mayor of New Romney for joining us and officially opening our Bat & Trap tournament. It was a real pleasure to welcome you to the club.
Thank you as well to everyone who helped organise, set up, serve, play and support the evening,

Would like to extend a massive thank you to 🎶OLAS BOSS 🎶 for setting the atmosphere and being a fantastic MC for the evening. You made the night exactly what we wanted and everyone involved, really enjoyed your set and had a great evening. So thank you so much

🏏 The Railway Taverners’ tour continues today as they take on Lydd at Lydd’s ground. If you fancy watching some cricket, pop along and support them — Lydd have a great bar too, so well worth a visit! 🍻
Then tomorrow (Sunday), they take on New Romney & Littlestone CC to round off another fantastic tour weekend.

We’re delighted that the Mayor of New Romney will be joining us to officially open the evening and get our Bat & Trap tournament underway.
We’ll also be welcoming back our great friends and annual touring opposition, The Railway Taverners, who have been joining us for this weekend for around 10 years. It’s always a pleasure to have them back! 🍻🏏
