Today, 12pm Sunday 23rd August 2026, is the deadline to submit nominations for the following Northern Region Executive Officer positions:

Chair | Secretary | Treasurer

Completed nomination forms must include a proposer and a seconder from different affiliated Northern Region clubs.

Nominations must be received by 12pm today.

📢 NOTICE OF THE NORTHERN REGION AGM

The Northern Region Annual General Meeting will take place online via Zoom:

The AGM gives Northern Region clubs the opportunity to review the past year, help shape priorities for the year ahead and elect the officers who will represent clubs across the region.

The positions of Chair, Secretary and Treasurer are open for election. The Chair and Secretary were appointed on an interim basis, while the previously elected Treasurer has since stood down.

Nominations must be supported by a proposer from one affiliated club and a seconder from a different affiliated club. Completed nomination forms must be received by 12pm 23rd August 2026.
Eligible affiliated clubs have one vote and may be represented by up to two people. Clubs unable to attend may appoint a representative from another affiliated Northern Region club as their proxy.

30 August: Deadline to confirm club representatives
6 September: Northern Region AGM at 6.00pm

🎉 A huge congratulations to one of our own, Marshall Everett Jones of Manchester Y Club and Northern Region Wrestling, on winning the U17 92kg World Championship Bronze Medal! 🥉🌍

This outstanding achievement is the result of 10 years of hard work, dedication, resilience, and belief. Marshall’s success is a testament to the commitment he has shown throughout his wrestling journey.

Northern Region Wrestling would also like to extend our sincere congratulations and thanks to Dale Murray and everyone at Manchester Y Club for the countless hours of coaching, guidance, and support they have given not only to Marshall but to all of their club wrestlers.

Finally, a massive congratulations to the Everett Jones family, whose unwavering support, encouragement, and countless hours of dedication have played such an important role in Marshall’s success.

This bronze medal is a fantastic achievement, and everyone at Northern Region Wrestling is incredibly proud.

The Northern Region is delighted to announce the appointment of Jay as our Interim Treasurer.

Jay brings over 15 years of experience as a finance professional, alongside a degree in Criminology. He is also the founder of Fight Talk 247 and is widely recognised for his passion and commitment to growing combat sports and creating opportunities for the next generation of athletes.

We are excited to welcome Jay to the team and look forward to the knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm he will bring to the role.
