A massive congratulations to Civilian Instructor Tom Seddon who got married last Saturday to his beautiful bride, Laura. 🤵‍♂👰💒

Tom has been at the squadron for 2 years now and has made huge progress in delivering Adventure Training and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme to cadets not only from the Squadron, but also the Wing! 🧗‍♂️🛘

While our staff are volunteers, we also recognise the impact we have on our volunteer's families and loved ones too.

Tom and Laura, from all of us at 1104 (Pendle) Sqn, we wish you all the best in your future together and hope you enjoy your upcoming honeymoon!!

On Saturday, four cadets from 1104 took to the sky at RAF Topcliffe thanks to the amazing team at . Despite the weather threatening to end operations early, all four cadets were able to experience two launches and learn the fundamentals of flight in a glider.

A huge thank you to the cadets and staff from 1104 (Pendle) Squadron and 1969 (Rossendale) Squadron Air Cadets who volunteered their time today to help marshal the Pendleside Hospice Mountain Bike Challenge at Townley Park in Burnley!

Despite a slightly drizzly start to the morning, the weather soon improved, making for a fantastic day supporting such an important local charity event. Our cadets were positioned around the course, helping to keep riders on track, providing encouragement, and ensuring the event ran smoothly.

It was especially great to support the event organiser, Manny, who is a former 1104 cadet! After his time with the squadron, Manny went on to serve 10 years in the Royal Air Force as an engineer before returning to the local community and helping organise this fantastic challenge.

Well done to all the riders who took part, and thank you to Pendleside Hospice for allowing our cadets to be involved. The day was a great example of teamwork, community spirit, and service in action.

‼️DACRE SWORD NOMINATION‼️

A massive congratulations to CWO Hird from 1104 (Pendle) Squadron who has been nominated by North Region Air cadets for the Dacre Sword.

A message from the Squadron Commander Flt Lt Birchall:
"The staff and cadets from 1104 (Pendle) Squadron and incredibly proud of Cadet Warrant Officer Matilda "Tilly" Hird, following her nomination from North Region for the Dacre Sword award. In all my years within RAFAC, I haven't seen a more outstanding, dependable and hard-working cadet than CWO Hird and this is echoed by staff from across the Wing and Region who have worked with her. I wish her the best of luck for the final selection weekend and know that she has all of Cumbria & Lancashire Wing as well as 1104 (Pendle) Sqn behind her."

What a massive achievement and something to be incredibly proud of.
