Writing is usually the first skill children abandon during the holidays, mostly because they associate it with being graded and corrected.

Keep their writing skills active by making it fun and purposeful. Buy them a cheap scrapbook to use as a summer diary, or have them write physical postcards to their grandparents. Don't worry about perfect grammar or spelling right now—just let their creativity flow! 📝✨
