Our u13’s, 15’ and 17’s travelled to Barry Town today for a pre season friendly. Great opportunity for our squads to play competitive football against another club who are also looking to develop talented girls within their pathway ⚽️

We are hosting an open training session on Monday 24th August for our Under 17s squad, going in to the upcoming season.

Our Academy girls started back training this week with us gaining data on physical characteristics and some Fitness Testing to gain a baseline understanding of their current fitness levels ahead of the new season ⚽️

Tonight’s open training session will be on pitch 3 (across the road from Llandarcy Academy). All next year’s 11/12s welcome🔴⚽️

BFL U17s are holding an open training session. Anyone in school year 11/12 welcome to come along. All details are on the flyer👍⚽️

Thanks to everyone for attending the last Girls Academy Trial of the summer. We finished on a lovely evening at Llandarcy with the U11’s 🌞 ⚽️

Over the last 8 weeks we have had multiple trials, from our U9’s all the way through to our U19’s girls team.

In total we trialled over 500 girls 🤩

Katy Hosford joins Briton Ferry as Mark Murison’s first signing ✍️

Adran Premier side Briton Ferry have announced the signing of Welsh football legend Katy Hosford, with the forward becoming the first addition of Mark Murison’s reign.

Hosford arrives after ending a remarkable 16-year spell with Swansea City, where she became one of the club’s most decorated players. The forward won four Welsh top-flight titles, two Welsh Cups and the Adran Trophy during her time with the Swans.

The experienced attacker stepped away from football during the 2025/26 season following her pregnancy and the birth of her baby, but now returns to the Adran Premier with Briton Ferry at a new stage of her career.

Really good standard and we look forward to the U11’s pre academy trial next Friday with over 80 girls attending.
