Result: Currie FC Tigers 3-4 2010 Reds

We pick up our first 3 points of the season with an away win over Currie FC Tigers, but it could and should have been a lot more comfortable. Defensive mistakes gave our hosts the impetus but we were not to be denied scoring 4 excellent goals and creating a number of chances which if converted would have been a fairer refelction of the game.

PoM for this week is Matthew Wilson who not only scored a hatrick but didnt stop running.

We are on our travels again next week when we face Livingston CFC. Details TBC.

2010 Reds 1-4 Broxburn AC Badgers

Not the result we hoped for but a lot of positives to take from the game. We move on to next week and a game against Currie FC Tigers.

Player of the Match for us was Lewis McKechnie who seemed to be everywhere, breaking up play and moving us forward.

Under 17 / 2010 Open Training Session

We are holding and open training session on Sunday 26 July at Pinkie Playing Fields from 10.45am. We are looking for players in all positions to join our exisitng squad for the new season in SERYFA Division 3.

Open to all, if you are looking for more game time and/or a new challenge come along on Sunday.

End of Season Awards
A successful season where we met most of our goals has come to an end and we enjoyed our Player of the Year Presentation at The Ravelston today.

Season 2025/26 was about consolidation improvement. Fifth place having finished second from bottom in 2004/25 is a fantastic achievement for the boys and says a lot about them and the players who we brought in. They quickly gelled and complimented the existing team, and when we were on it, we were a match for anyone in the league. We hope to continue that progression next season, bringing in new players who will help us challenge for silverware.

Before we get to this year’s award winners, we have a few thank you’s to say.

A massive thank you to Kelly and Suz, who before she moved on with Olly, was instrumental in setting up our match day tuck shop as well as other fundraising.

To our sponsors without whom we wouldn’t have been able to provide a team for the boys to play.

To parents/carers your support has been amazing.

A huge debt of thanks to Graeme for his help over the last two years. Although he’s stepping back he will still be around when needed. It’s been brilliant G and don’t be surprised if we (Matt and me) don’t call on you more often than not 😜

And to the players who have been an absolute pleasure in to coach - most of the time! Although we have individual winners of awards, you have all been fantastic over the course of the season and it has been great to see you become a proper team. Thanks for all your efforts.

We had six awards this season as follows:

Parent’s Player of the Year, Player of the Year and Player’s Player of the Year went to Jack. No-one is more deserving this season and to be voted for across all sections speaks volumes. His willingness to put his body on the line, his no nonsense approach to the game and his composure on the ball was at times an inspiration to his team mates.

Coach’s Player of the Year is Max. His positioning and reading of the game is brilliant and was a fantastic vice-Captain who would always make suggestions and was a genuine leader on and off the pitch.

Most Improved player went to Keegan Hogg. Keegan joined us just after the start of the season having been without a team and his progression has been great to see. He made the CDM role his own and is now almost undroppable.

Goal of the Season (voted for by the boys and coaches) the winner was Ellis for his goal v Spartans Reds. His corner kick into the opposite top corner of the goals was brilliant. Still think his free kick against Murieston was better but this goal received most of the votes.

Special mentions should also go to Robert, who worked incredibly hard through the season, driving us forward, and to Tawana for his 15 goals to finish top scorer.

Well done everyone and here’s looking forward for season 2026/27!

RESULT: 2010 Reds 4-3 Spartans Reds

A brilliant performance with goals from James, Max, Ethan and Ellis gave us a well deserved win against Spartans Reds on the League Cup today.

Playing against a strong wind in the first half, the boys had the better of the play and scoring opportunities but found themselves going into the break 1-2 when they conceded a very soft goal on the stoke of half-time.

To there credit they didn't let it affect them, and were quickly back on terms when Max scored from close range. W e were perhaps a little fortunate to take the lead when a hopefully ball into the box by Ethan deceived the Spartans keeper and bounced over his head into the net.

Having passed up a couple more chances to score, we did extend our lead when Ellis curled a corner into the far top corner, but the game did a little frantic as Spartans searched for a way back into the game and our hesitancy to clear the ball gave them hope when they reduced the deficit on 75 minutes.

The boys regained their composure and saw the game out to get our League Cup campaign back on track.

Player of the Match: Max Sutherland. Fantastic performance from our #5 which included a rare goal. He didn't look out of place playing as a CDM and protected the defence throughout the game.
