🤝 BACK TO LEAGUE ACTION: THE WINDSOR DERBY 🤝

The Windsor girls were back in League action this morning for a challenging "away" fixture at Rosehill against our older sisters, the Windsor 2012s. While the 7-2 final score went the way of the more experienced side, the match was a fantastic learning experience and a real game of two halves.

Our girls showed great character to grow into the game, putting in a much stronger second-half performance as their confidence, bravery, and intensity picked up. The coaching team was encouraged by the response after the break, noting that these matches against older Tier 1 teams are exactly what will stand the squad in great stead for the rest of the season. 🔵⚪️

This result leaves us in 4th place in the league table as we head back to the training ground to sharpen up for next weekend. We are incredibly proud of the effort the squad put in today—onwards and upwards! 📈💪

☀️ SUMMER BREAK: OVER! ☀️

The ice creams are finished, the lie-ins are a distant memory, and the Windsor girls are officially back for the second half of the season! ⚽️🍦

After a fantastic mid-season "recharge", we are raring to go for the return of the SE U14 Joelle Murray League tomorrow morning. Our preparation has been top-notch, with two brilliant friendly wins against The Spartans and Bo’ness Utd getting the squad back up to match speed! 🔋💪

While our final warm-up game was unfortunately cancelled, the spirit in the camp is sky-high as we head into a very special fixture to kick things off. 🔵⚪️

It’s a Windsor Derby! 🏰 We are technically the "away" side tomorrow as we make the short trip up to Rosehill to face our big sisters, the Windsor 2012 Girls. These games are always a fantastic learning experience and a great showcase for the talent we have across the club. It's time to take those lessons from earlier in the season and show just how much this squad has grown! 🛡️🙌

It was brilliant to have the girls back at training this week! The energy was high as the squad started shaking off the ice-cream, late nights, and those holiday lie-ins to get back into the Windsor groove. 🍦😴🏃‍♀️

As we prepare for the second half of our debut competitive season in the SE U14 Joelle Murray League, we’ve lined up a cracking trio of friendlies to get everyone back up to match speed. Whether you call it "Pre-Season 2.0" or our mid-season recharge, the powerhouse squad is ready to go! 🔋🔵⚪️

A brilliant part of our youth volunteer team! Elliette is super organised, always ready to get stuck in and never far away when someone needs a helping hand — whether that’s supporting the younger kids, her fellow volunteers or our head coaches.
She brings plenty of laughs, fun and her naturally caring, nurturing nature to camp, helping make it a place where the younger players can feel comfortable, have fun and be themselves. 🫶
Always there, ready to go and willing to help with whatever’s needed — Elliette is a really valuable member of our youth volunteer team and we love watching her confidence continue to grow!

Charlotte follows in the footsteps of her former captain, Lacey, making the move to the royal blue.

She is fantastically composed on the ball, naturally favours the right wing but is just as comfortable drifting inside to link up play from the middle of the pitch. 🛡️⚽️

Her desire to get forward and her ability to combine with her teammates makes her a very exciting addition to the squad - we can't wait to see her in action as we continue our competitive journey in Division 1! 🏟️✨

🏰 VICTORY AT THE CAMPUS: FINISHING ON A HIGH! 🏰

The Windsor girls wrapped up the first block of the season in style on Saturday with a fantastic 4-2 away win against Dalkeith Thistle U14 Cardo! 🚌⚽️

Dalkeith provided a tough, competitive test at Dalkeith Community Campus, but our girls showed their quality to secure a thoroughly deserved result. A huge amount of credit must go to the squad for adapting to a brand-new 4-4-2 formation for this match. 🔵⚪️

To compound our own tactical shift, the opposition frequently played an unusual 4-2-4 shape which certainly kept our defensive line on their toes! While it took about 20 minutes to fully find our rhythm and adjust to the various shapes on the pitch, the girls showed great tactical intelligence to settle in and play some excellent football once they clicked into gear. 🛡️🏃‍♀️

The star of the show was undoubtedly Chloe, who was in clinical form, finding the back of the net an impressive FOUR times! ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️

Saturday also marked a very special milestone as Ava made her Windsor debut! Ava looked brilliant commanding the midfield from the off, and with Ellie D putting in a great shift at centre-back to manage that tricky opposition frontline, the powerhouse spirit was on full display. 🌟🧱

This victory sees us head into the summer break sitting in a strong 4th place in the SE U14 Joelle Murray League with only three very strong 2012 teams above us. It’s been a relentless and exciting start to our competitive journey, and the coaching team is incredibly proud of how the girls are continuing to evolve and learn. 📈💪

We now have a well-earned break to rest and recover before we return to action in August. Enjoy the sunshine, girls—you’ve earned it! ☀️🍦
