Today DBS at Aberdeen Indoors EL men fours took on Aberdeen in the morning semis then progressed to the finals to play West Lothian 4s winning 9-3

East Lothian deaf bowling club held their annual 7 ends competition at Meadowmill today .

12 club Members took part with the round robin rounds to qualify for the quarter finals stage who were :
Colin Simpson, Ali Carswell , Christine mcculloch , Paul Conway , Leona Stewart, Dave Carswell, Keith Hyland and Lofty Stewart .

The players who made it to the Semifinals were
Colin Simpson
Ali Carswell
Paul Conway
Dave Carswell to fight it out for a finals place .

So the finals was down to defending champion Ali Carswell vs Dave Carswell to fight it out for the 7 ends trophy 🏆.

After 6 ends it was 4-4 each in a closely matched game then at the last end Ali was leading 5-4 and 1 shot ahead so Dave went for the Jack and it landed just a fraction inside the ditch rink marker to leave Dave 1 shot up , Ali threw her last bowl to lie 1 up , Dave threw his last bowl to lie for a shot so scores ended 5-5 for an extra end .

Extra end was hotly contested trading blow for blow each shot .
Dave got his 1st bowl tight against Jack , Ali just missed out twice to clip Jack for a shot.
Dave 3rd bowl on the heavy side pushed Jack couple feet toward Ali bowl to lie 1 down . Ali added a second bowl to lie 2 up .
Dave final bowl landed 6 inches from Jack to lie 1 up . So it was down to Ali final bowl which just slipped past Dave bowl for Dave to win the trophy for the second time .

Well done to everyone who all took part in a keenly contested competitive match and many thanks to the committee of Meadowmill indoors having the green available on the day which was greatly appreciated by all .
