The annual FYC regatta is fast approaching, visitors welcome!
Fisherrow Yacht Club caters mostly for yacht and dinghy sailors but if you've got something that floats, bring it along! Space exists for new members.
We have a great clubhouse with kitchen, showers & bar. The club owns several dinghies (a Laser, 4 Laser Picos, two new Lottery-funded RS Fevas, an RS Vision, a 420 and a Mirror) for use by members. Membership rates are published on the club website and are very reasonable. The FYC boatyard to the rear of the Clubhouse is used by dinghy owners and to accommodate the Club's two safety boats. Well our round the island race was a great success with close racing on a beautiful day. We didn't beat the course record, but we were close. We were all tucked up at home by teatime telling tales of daring do. Meanwhile its now Tuesday evening and Commodore Dennis is still racing, covering 204 nautical miles in the last 24 hours and currently doing 9 knots at the southern edge of the fleet.

Busy day on the water today, several beginners finishing their lvl 2 course and several improvers on their start racing course, plus a few club members simply buzzing around for fun. All had a great day with decent wind, but where was the heatwave the rest of the country was sweltering under? We had classic edinburgh Haar and the music of the foghorns from the anchored ships in the Forth to accompany us.
