A massive thank you to Matt at One Blue Eye for hosting some of our Youth at a free workshop on Friday evening to make hand planes from recycled plastic.

The boys had such a fun evening and really enjoyed their pasties!

We have two more workshops booked for Friday 2 October and Friday 9 October.

💦End of summer event💦

We hosted our first ever end of summer inter club friendly event with Falmouth Surf Life Saving Club and Gunwalloe Surf Life Saving Club. Thank you for joining us and making yesterday so special. 🤩

Youth and adults enjoyed flags, sprints, relays followed by a swim and taplin course in challenging conditions.

A massive thank you to Hannah & Al for warming us up with their delicious curries, before Al hit the decks as the sun went down. 🍛 🕺

Thank you to everyone who came along to take part, cheer on, support and help out with setting up & clearing away.

Our 50th beach session this season was a cracker!

18 members came out for a paddle and swim this afternoon.

The sun shone, the sea was warm and despite the seaweed, we had a great time.

A huge thank you to Jude at Rock Paper Scissors in Mullion for making up a collection box for us to help with getting our Beach House back up and running.

We were able to purchase two stools for the use of both our lifeguards and the RNLI lifeguards have been made comfortable this summer whilst keeping our beautiful beach safe.

Wow …. what a week!

We travelled to Holywell Bay to take part in the biggest Surf Life Saving National Championships yet with 2000 people competing from all over the nation.

Our wonderful Youth team hit Nationals at Holywell Bay, initially going along for the “vibe”. What a vibe it was! They gained friendships, experience, points and are inspired to train for more events, after dipping their toes into competing!

Next up came our awesome Nippers.
Day 2 was eventful! A rib ride during a challenging board course and a trip to hospital with a sprained arm during flags!

Luckily the conditions on day 3 were more favourable for an action packed day of board races, taplin, Golden Nipper, board relay and board rescue events.

A massive well done to every single one of you who were part of this amazing week.

Mighty Mullion SLSC is now on the map!

Thank you to Holywell Bay Surf Life Saving Club for being fantastic hosts. The organisation was spectacular!

And last but not least, the legend that is Nigel Bowden for his patience and understanding, navigating us through our first Nationals! You are amazing. Thank you from us all.

Our Youth Team were so inspired by last week's Nationals (and in awe of the equipment belonging to other Clubs!) that they're fundraising in order to represent Mullion next year!

To raise money for much needed equipment for Mullion Surf Life Saving Club Youth section.
