Last night we travelled through to Lothian to take on Bathgate Thistle in what turned out to be a cracking game of football ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️

Some excellent football on display, and a chance for us to try players in different positions ahead of the competitive stuff starting this weekend. Well done lads 👏🏼

We make the short trip to East Kilbride tomorrow to take part in the EKRR FC festival.

It looks like it’s going to be a competitive day with some top sides taking part, but it’s one that the boys are looking forward to after their hard work over the last few weeks 🙌🏼⚽️

Final Game of the Season for the Blacks

A massive well done to the boys on their final game of the season against Blantyre Soccer Academy on Saturday.

On a scorching hot day, every single player performed admirably and gave their all right until the final whistle, as the boys signed off in style. The effort, attitude and togetherness shown by the boys was a credit to them all.

Saturday’s game not only brought our season to an end, but it also brings the Blacks squad’s journey with Yett Farm to a close.

The boys leave with some brilliant memories from their years together and want to wish everyone connected with the club all the very best going forward.

As one journey ends, another one begins, with the full team now switching over to the relaunched Motherwell Miners 2014s for the 26/27 season - Motherwell Miners 2014s

Yesterday the Whites made the trip down to Gretna to take on Little Tekkers in our final transition game, and boys didn’t disappoint! Some outstanding football and tremendous goals throughout 👏🏼

The lads have pushed on over the last couple of weeks and we are delighted at how they have taken to 11 a side football 🙌🏼

They certainly earned their Burger King! 🍔😋

The Whites hosted Villa Park at Dalziel yesterday in what was our penultimate game of the season.

The boys played some excellent stuff throughout and got the rewards for the their efforts. It was our most complete 11 a side performance so far.

We look forward to travelling to Gretna next weekend for our final grading game, before a well earned break

⚽️ ⚫️ 🏆 FIRST TROPHY WIN! 🏆 ⚫️ ⚽️

After the heartbreak of losing our first tournament final on a sudden-death penalty shootout, the Blacks squad had a second chance for success yesterday.

Drawn against some strong opposition in the group stages, the boys showed fantastic determination and work rate but were just unfortunately missing their shooting boots as they battled their way into the Plate semi-finals.

Thankfully, someone found them hidden under the bag of Mars Bars and Haribo before the semi-final, as the boys hit the goals trail against a good Blantyre Vics side to book their place in the final against Hibs Community Club.

With confidence growing and the goals flowing, the team produced an outstanding performance in the final against to lift their first trophy. 🏆

More important than the trophy itself was seeing the smiles and excitement of the boys at the final whistle. Truly what youth football is all about.

A huge well done to every player for their effort, attitude and teamwork throughout the day.

Thanks also to all of our opponents for some excellent games played in the right spirit, and again to Blantyre Soccer Academy for organising another superb tournament in memory of Raemonn Gormley.

A first trophy secured... hopefully many more to follow! ⚽🏆⚽️
