Faster at 50 πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ’ͺ

I ran another half marathon faster than all 3 of my last Half's and at 50 I’m still finding out what my body is capable of.

For me, getting older isn’t about slowing down or accepting that your best years are behind you.

It’s about staying strong, staying active, challenging yourself and looking after the body that has to carry you through all the years ahead.

Running is a huge part of that for me, but so is strength training. I genuinely believe the combination of the two is helping me feel fitter and stronger at 50 than I expected to.

You don’t have to run half marathons.

You don’t have to train like an athlete.

But you CAN get stronger, fitter and more confident at any age.

50 isn’t a finish line. I’m quite excited to see what comes next. 🀍

Today's run was a tough one.πŸ₯΅

The heat definitely made it harder, and there were moments when I had to remind myself to just keep putting one foot in front of the other.

It got me thinking...

The things that help us grow are often the things that challenge us the most.

Whether it's a tough run, a strength workout, learning something new or stepping outside your comfort zone, it's rarely the easy option that makes us stronger.

Not every session has to feel amazing.

Sometimes just showing up, adapting to the conditions and finishing is enough.

Keep going. The hard days are often the ones that teach us the most. πŸ€πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

When I created Strong & Steady, it wasn't because I wanted to create another fitness programme.
It was because I kept meeting women who were telling me the same things...
"I don't know where to start."
"I don't have hours to spend in the gym."
"I've lost confidence."
"I just want to feel stronger again."
That's why Strong & Steady is built around real life.
Three manageable strength sessions each week. Done in your own time. With support from me every step of the way.
If you've been thinking about putting yourself first and making a start, I'd love to help.
The next Strong & Steady group is now open, and I'd love to welcome you. 🀍
Just send me a message if you'd like to know more. 😊
