Your isolation nob is vulnerable to impact during transportation, please be mindful of how you pack other cylinders around this delicate assembly.

Difficulty in completing shutdowns, lead this customer to inspect the isolation nob, finding it a little out of straight.

Today has been about water - some electrics, but mainly about water!

We have installed and tested our laboratory grade water filtration system today - the results are in, the following numbers are parts per million of total dissolved solids:

Tape Water - 399
Boiled Water - 380
Brita Pro Pure Performance - 378
Brita Matrix Pro Timescale - 266
Workshop Water - 0

How have we achieved this level of water purity - filtration and UV light.

All our workshop water is now processed firstly via a reverse osmosis system, then a separate filtration stack and finally passes a UV light source.

HP hoses - will lose less gas than a LP hose when they fail.

The HP spigot has failed on this hose, causing more than champagne bubbles. Part removed replaced and tested - back into service for the hose, O ring and spigot into the bin.

Did you know that Milton Keynes population is growing?

So far this year (as of 19 Aug 2026, 12:45) there have been 2,472 hours of sewage overflows, from 23 combined sewage overflows.

As a Dive Centre how does this affect the product and services we offer?

We have been monitoring the quality of the tap water that has been supplied to the Dive Centre for over a year now, it has been deteriorating.

Over the last month we have been consulting with an external company on the level of deterioration - the results not good.

We have therefore invested in a laboratory grade water filtration system.

What this means for your our customers - all cylinders, valves and regulators will only come into contact with laboratory grade water.

99% of dissolved salts, particles, and organic contaminants gone. Bacteria and microorganisms protected against.

For Milton Keynes a £17m investment project spanning multiple phases to address operational challenges effectively, Rec2Tec Diving is not waiting for the completion of this project.

The pricing of our regulator servicing is achieved using a simple formula:

Technician Time + Service Kit + Operational Overheads = Service Cost

So anytime sometime takes longer or needs parts not included in the service kit, then service cost will change.

95% of the servicing we do, includes no additional charges, if you want to be in that group, ensure your regulators follow the manufacturers service schedule.

Not worked correctly since last serviced at another dive centre - this Scubapro Air2 was nearly impossible to breath.

The cause: the cutting edge is damaged on the regulator part of the Air2, previous dive centre solution tighten part to the point it seals!

Our solution - order the part, fit it and set the Air2 up correctly = happy customer!

This regulator was reported as either a difficult breath or free flowing.

On inspection of the hose it is clear to see the failure points of the hose - caused by long term storage of the hose in a tight crimp.

The internal rubber hose has failed causing blockages and for part to make it to the second stage!

Another example of a manufacturer improving their products during the life span of the regulator.

If you Googled this regulator you can download the service manual, you can buy the servicing parts from the USA.

BUT. . . when the parts do not match the servic kit and you do not have access to the service updates and bulletins, what are you going to do.

These parts are upgrades for the same first stage - all three need to be present for the regular to function correctly. The pictures show the old part and the replacement part.
