I recently had a lovely conversation with the parent of some of our trial students.
We were talking about our sign-up process when they said something that really stuck with me:
“It’s too easy to be true.”
I told them I was glad.
Because we deliberately made it that way.
We’ve experienced the other side ourselves. Upfront membership fees. Contracts. Multiple forms. Sometimes filling out one form for a trial and then another one when you actually decide to join.
I’m not passing judgement on clubs that still do things that way.
We simply chose to be different.
Life is complicated enough.
Family. Work. School. Commitments. Finding time for yourself and for personal development can be difficult enough without making joining a martial arts club another administrative task.
So we stripped it back.
One trial form that converts to the membership record upon joining.
One Direct Debit form.
That’s it.
Then:
One monthly training fee.
Unlimited training at our classes.
Your first uniform included.
No joining fee.
No complicated membership packages.
No unnecessary paperwork.
You decide you want to train.
You join.
Done.
Because we don’t think starting something positive should be complicated.
We chose to make it simple.
