The Queen of Cups

She is the archetypal nurturer, a truly compassionate soul. Her care extends to every living creature and beyond, from children to animals, social problems and environmental issues. If she believes in the cause she will put everything behind it.

She is also highly intuitive, she can be clairvoyant or psychic and although this Queen’s nature is spiritual and loving, if you crossed her you would know about as she can also be fiercely protective of the people, creatures and causes she cares about.
As always “she” is a tarot stereotype, not a gender. This can just as well apply to men.

Today might all be about surrounding yourself with people or things you deeply care about.
Because of your nurturing nature, everyone gravitates towards you and you wouldn’t want it any other way.
This might very well be a day full of hugs!
Isn’t that a wonderful thing?

Five of Wands

Wands are the symbol of fire energy, passions, ideas and growth.
The five is the midway of a story (ten being the finishing point), where things reach a turning point, a first climax of sorts and a need to readjust. In this case it brings a lot of voices to the table, not necessarily in an orderly fashion!

Everyone has an opinion and oh so often they clash. In real life but definitely on a daily basis on the internet. Everyone thinks they have a right to be heard, everyone is convinced that their opinion is the right one and needs to be louder than everyone else’s.

That’s nothing new, heated debates are simply a human thing!
Passionate beliefs are what drives these clashes and sometimes we just have to let them play out. There might even be some truths being spoken that everyone was too cautious to say before. Rise to the challenge! Listen, but engage too.
Your opinion is worth just as much and don’t be intimidated by people who can shout louder. It doesn’t make them right.

Death

Do I still need to point out that this card rarely means physical death? No I didn’t think so 😉
It symbolises permanent change, the need to leave something behind for good.
Very appropriate for the last day of August, maybe heralding in the last days of Summer before we move to the proper dark days.

But more practical it really calls for something in your life being finished for good!
You now have to make the decision if you will be an active participant in this or not.
Walk through that door and know it will shut behind you for good or wait until life pushes you? And trust me, it will!

Watch out today for the things that have run their cause, served their purpose and simply need to go. Don’t cling on to stuff or situations that maybe should have been over ages ago.
Letting go and getting rid only makes room for the new and likely better things to come to you.
Sometimes endings are simply necessary!

Like all swords in the tarot, this card connects to matters of the mind, intellect, mental states and the element of air.
And as all aces in tarot, it hails in a beginning, potential, a situation in its early stages.
This specific card especially symbolises clarity.

Strength in adversity is a hallmark of this card. Using your willpower and intellect to achieve your goals and cutting through illusions to reveal the truth of the matter.
Your sharp mind is your sword here! Make sure you use it for a good cause without causing pain to people you didn’t mean to hurt.

Today pay close attention to situations around you. Cut through the BS and find the truth of the matter. It will bring you breakthroughs and true “a-ha” moments.
Think outside the box, seize opportunities and make the truth work for you!
If you put your mind to it you can achieve anything. This is setting you up for a good start, the rest is up to you.

Any kind of light seems brightest when it’s surround are darkest. This Star shines for you when you most need it. It is sign that things will be okay, that something truly positive is on its way to you.
In a tarot deck, this card follows the Tower in the major arcana. It brings the calm after the storm.

The Star usually signals a change in fortune for the better. “Wish upon a star” comes to mind.
This could be big or small, a decision you have waited for is made, a problem resolved, an annoyance over, peace comes into your life.
It is a truly beautiful moment!

Today focus on the good stuff, enjoy that things are calming down or even better that everything might just turn out wonderfully and life looks on the up.
Now you need to believe and trust in it too!
The more positive your outlook, the better your prospect for success.

Healing

Traditionally this card is about taking stock and understanding how far you have come.
That in itself can be a very healing experience as you might realise that you have achieved way more than you thought. Pause and take it all in!

Healing yourself often has an element of understanding that you have come a long way since the horrible incident, the nasty accident, the loss you experienced… any or all of those.
So that is very much a stock taking process.
You have put the work in and it’s paying off!

Today give yourself permission to be proud of yourself. Yes you can pat yourself on the back. Release any feeling you’re not enough or that you have to try harder or whatever negative thought your mind likes to cling to.
You have done good! You have come far!
That’s something to be very proud of indeed.

This Page might be clever and sharp witted, but wise they are not!
Although they are quite a thinker and very interested in the human condition, they still have a lot to learn. They are only just getting started.
Outgoing, adventurous and outspoken, with an active an curious mind, but with a tendency to not take things serious.

Sometimes when this card appears we need to ask ourselves if we are really prepared to make the next step or if our enthusiasm to get things going is more bravado and less wisdom.
Are you so keen to get going that you forgot to make a plan?

Today make sure you rush into nothing, take things seriously or be certain that others take you serious.
Your enthusiasm is fantastic, but that alone won’t win any races. So before you run into a wall head first, try the door handle and make certain you know what’s behind it.
One step at a time, don’t fight battles you cannot win yet!

The idea of this card is a kind of threshold you are standing on, from one country into another (symbolically, but sometimes literally) as it were.
You are just a short distance away from things changing, now is definitely the time to keep your eyes firmly on that horizon!

In other words, things might be about to change in very exciting and new ways and you would do very good to be ready to jump into new territory.
This might be very different to what you have done before, but it is all positive going forward.
Just remember the core belief you had when you started out on this journey.

There might be new people involved with the next step too. Assembling a good team is essential if you want to move forward.
Don’t worry to much, this is a good sign. Yes it might look all quite daunting, but it will be okay as long as you stay true to your “Why” and don’t lose track of the bigger picture.
