Cowdray Park Polo Club The Home of British Polo and The British Open Polo Championship for the Cowdray Gold Cup The aim of the Club is to foster and encourage the game of Polo.

Cowdray Park is recognised worldwide as the ‘Home of British Polo’ and is one of the busiest clubs in the world with over 450 matches played annually, the highlight of the season being the British Open Polo Championship for the Cowdray Gold Cup. The British Open Polo Championship for the Cowdray Gold Cup is the premier polo tournament in Europe at 22 goal (High Goal) level. With all the international stars of the game in action in the incomparable setting of Cowdray Park’s stunning grounds, situated in the heart of the South Downs National Park, the tournament draws in polo aficionados from all over the world. The Club also runs all levels of polo from 4 to 22 goal throughout the season. The playing season runs from April to September with matches on most days.

Everyone at Cowdray Park Polo Club is devastated by the death of Harry Revell following an accident during a match at Cowdray on Friday.

Harry was a much-loved and respected member of the polo community and our thoughts are first and foremost with his wife, family, friends and teammates at this desperately difficult time.

The Club has remained in close contact with Harry’s family since the accident and will continue to offer them whatever support we can.

We are enormously grateful to the paramedics, the Air Ambulance and everyone involved in Harry’s care.

As a mark of respect, the Farewell Cup has been abandoned. The remainder of the polo season will resume in due course.

Out of respect for Harry’s family, we ask that their privacy is respected.

This weekend at Cowdray 🏆

Saturday saw Trefoil win the PSI Final with a score of 5–2.5 against HK Polo. The PSI Trophy was presented to Jonathan Gates by Chris Bethell, with the X Zony
UK Best Playing Pony Rug awarded to Cynthia, played by Ollie Cork and owned by Diego Giagante.

Sunday brought another closely fought final, with Lumina edging past Mono Polo 7–6 to claim the Park House Cup. The cup was presented to Kristina White by Andrew Ward, while the X-zony Best Playing Pony Rug went to Apache, played and owned by Niall Donnelly.

And just like that, we’re into the final week of the 2026 polo season 🐎

Join us on Sunday 20th September for Cowdray’s End of Season celebrations, in collaboration with Midhurst Palliative Care 💙

Enjoy the Farewell Cup & Autumn Cup Finals from 11am, with the final game of the season at 4pm. Then, from 12pm, head to Ambersham Clubhouse to tuck into a delicious roast while enjoying a raffle, cake sale and silent auction, all raising vital funds for Midhurst Palliative Care.

Then comes the main event… 🐶

Following the End of Season Awards, our Dog Show will begin at approximately 6pm. Get your four-legged friends ready for an evening of fun!

Entry tickets are available in advance or on the gate.

We’re delighted to be supporting this fantastic cause at our End of Season Finale on Sunday 20th September.

Join us for a raffle, dog show, cake sale, food from the clubhouse and, of course, world-class polo, all while raising funds for Midhurst Palliative Care.

Online bidding is open until 1pm on Friday 18th September, or you can bid in person from 11am to 5pm on Sunday 20th September.
