🌟MATCH REPORT🌟
Normanby Girls 1 - 6 Boro Rangers
It was not the start to the season we were hoping for nor expecting.
Boro started brightest, and kept the upper hand through a majority of the first half finding themselves 2-0, without Normanby posing much of a threat, when a long ball forward from the back line was closed down by PEACOCK, with her back to goal had a lot of work to do. She managed to fend off 2 or 3 challenges using strength to beat the last defender and r***e her shot into the top corner. It was a lifeline for Normanby.
Unfortunately, it was short-lived, and Boro added a 3rd, taking us into H-T losing 1-3.
The second half resumed similar to the first. Normanby were sloppy in possession. However, shown glimpses of what we are capable of with some quick swift passing. But Boro kept pressing and finding gaps, making it 4-1. Their 5th was a brilliant goal. A corner drifted over to the back post, losing her marker, a leap into the air, and a header into the top corner. Then added a 6th shortly before Full-Time.
We dust ourselves down, and prepare to make amends this weekend.
Normanby United Girls U13's Football Team would like to wish good luck to Boro Rangers Girls U13 Gold for the 26-27 season.
