At Thornton Academy we provide high quality dance and performing arts training for students aged 2 upwards at our dance studios in Middlesbrough.

Our fantastic teachers are BATD qualified, hold enhanced DBS and are first aid trained.

All of our students have the opportunity to do BATD examinations and take part in shows if they wish. We also have a very successful competative team.

We are now enrolling new starters in all classes !! We offer classes in Tap & Modern, Ballet, Acro, Jazz, Musical Theatre, PBT, LAMDA, Tumbling & Commercial 🌟

⭐️Now enrolling in our new Parent & Toddler Dance Class⭐️
From walking to 4 years. Starting Tuesday 8th September at Thornton Academy, LinthorpeVillage, Middlesbrough.

Come and have fun with your child dancing to music with use of props, instruments and movement. Your child will develop strength, coordination and balance while having lots of fun with you and our fantastic teachers.

All staff are fully qualified hold DBS & are first aid trained

Our juniors & intermediates had a fantastic time at our workshop with our very own Freya Thornton ⭐️

We learnt audition technique and choreography and performance from Cats the Musical. It was lovely to see everyone working so hard and challenging yourselves. Thankyou so much to Freya for giving up her time to come back and inspire our next generation of dancers- we loved having you back 💚
