What a fantastic day of running for NYMAC at the Middlesbrough 10K! 💙

A huge well done to everyone who took part & some fantastic times coming through from our members! 👏🔥

One of the best parts of the day was seeing so many running clubs from across the area come together, bringing huge numbers of their members along to enjoy the race. There was such a fantastic atmosphere and it was brilliant to see everyone supporting, encouraging and celebrating each other. 🤝

And the PBs! ⏱️💨 So many fantastic performances and personal bests throughout the field — a real testament to all the hard work everyone has been putting in.

Days like this are what running is all about. 🏃‍♀️❤️🏃‍♂️

🏃‍♀️⛰️ Bilsdale Show Fell Race! ⛰️🏃‍♂️

Today, our NYMAC members took on the challenging Bilsdale Show Fell Race 💪

There was some fantastic running from everyone who took part, with plenty of hard work and big efforts across the field. A huge congratulations to Kirsty, who brought it home in 1st position 🥇, and to Anna, who had a fantastic run to finish 1st in the Under 23 category! 🏆👏

A brilliant day out and another great opportunity for our members to get out on the fells, challenge themselves and represent NYMAC.

What a fantastic evening at the NYMAC Relays last night! 🎉

It was brilliant to see so many running clubs from around the area come together for an evening of competition & teamwork. The atmosphere was fantastic from start to finish, with athletes giving everything for their teams and supporting one another throughout the evening. 🙌

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ NYMAC UPHILL MILE CHALLENGE! ⛰️🔥

What a brilliant evening with our NYMAC members taking on the Uphill Mile — a race to the top, before turning around and making the journey back down! 💪

Some serious effort, plenty of determination and, of course, a few tired legs by the finish line! 😂👏

But the best part? We finished the night the NYMAC way… at the Dudley Arms for some well-earned pie and peas 🥧🫛 and a good catch-up with club members!

Great running, great food and even better company. ❤️

The 5-mile Treasure Hunt is back! 🗺️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Starting from Nunthorpe Squash Club, our 11 members took on the challenge with a staggered start at 1-minute intervals. ⏱️

Mark has jumped up into 2nd, while Ian drops down to 4th! 👀

Diane has stole 1st position whilst Anne has snuck into 3rd, knocking Georgina McDonald out of the top three! 👏

With the leaderboard changing race by race, it’s all to play for! 🔥

✨ Beer Mile ✨🍺🏃

Night 4 of Week of Champs took us to Nunthorpe for the infamous Beer Mile! 🍻

The challenge? A 1-mile race split into four 400m laps, with ¾ of a pint to be downed before each lap. Easy… right? 😅

Another brilliant evening with 20+ members taking on the challenge!

A few competitors couldn’t quite keep their drinks down… 🤢👀 which meant a penalty lap was added to their evening! 😂

📊 Leaderboard update:
🏆 Josie Green storms from 4th to 1st, shaking up the women’s standings!
💪 The men’s top three remain unchanged… for now.

But with tonight’s Treasure Hunt still to come, there’s everything to play for. 👀🔥

✨ Cross Country Race ✨

Event 3 of our Week of Champs took place last night over at Mandale, and it certainly shook things up! 🌿🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

The Cross Country results brought some big changes to the overall leaderboard, with some impressive performances making a huge impact.

👏 Diane Jobson climbs from 3rd to 1st overall, thanks to a strong 5th-place finish in the XC race.

On the men’s side, the standings were turned on their head. After leading the competition following the first two events, Richard Fawcett and Richard Atkins dropped to 7th and 8th overall after not adding Cross Country points, opening the door for others to leap up the table 👀🏃🏻‍♂️

With three events down, it’s all still to play for… 👀
