Middlesbrough Croquet Club

Middlesbrough AC Advanced Tournament was won this weekend by Dennis Scarr beating last year's winner Anothony Miller in the final.

Middlesbrough AC Handicap Tournament was held on the weekend of 25th & 26th April.
8 players took part with Handicaps ranging from minus 0.5 to 24.
The eventual winner with 5 wins from 5 games was Dennis Scarr.

Middlesbrough Croquet Club held its annual Charity 1 Ball Tournament on Sat 4th April at Albert Park in aid of Save the Children.
We had 7 players from the Croquet North region plus 3 visitors from Bury Croquet Club.

The winner, with an impressive 8 wins from 9 games was Philip Hastings.

Lawns remarked and hoops repositioned. Ready to go for the new season.

Today we said goodbye to our friend Andrew.
A packed church and wonderful tributes demonstrated just what great esteem he was held in.
We will miss him.

We are sad to announce the death of our Member and friend Andrew Killick.

Andrews style of Croquet was unique, his jokes were corny and his Christian faith was strong to the end.

We will miss him.

Final EPL fixture of the season - nice way to finish.

Middlesbrough AC Advanced Tournament held on 21st & 22nd June was won by Anthony Miller beating Mark Simmerson in the Final.

Secretarys Shield today at Pendle & Craven Croquet Club ( Earby ) saw Middlesbrough beat Southport 5-2 in glorious sunshine.
Andrew Killick, Dennis Scarr, Brian Gardner and Nigel Durie. On to the next round !

The Croquet North GC Singles Tournament held at Middlesbrough on 14th June, 2025 was won by William Steadman.
