🏁 HOME FROM THE MANX GP 🏁

Back home from what has probably been one of the best weeks of my life racing at the Manx GP. 🇮🇲

I went over with one main goal — to lap under 20 minutes. I’m absolutely over the moon to have beaten that target by 13 seconds, lapping at an average of 114.4mph. That’s a lot faster than I ever thought I’d be capable of before I headed out for my first laps around the TT course.

I was also pleasantly surprised to see the bike was 7th fastest through the speed trap for most of the week, all from a standard engine. A huge credit to the preparation and work that has gone into the bike.

In the Supersport race, I finished 32nd, which I was honestly quite disappointed with, but ultimately I was glad to bring it home safely.

In the Senior race, I finished 24th, which I was much happier with and feels like a great way to finish my first Manx GP.

One of the biggest highlights of the week came at the end when I was awarded Best Prepared Bike, as voted for by the technical team. That feels like a massive achievement, especially because I prep and maintain the bike myself on a limited budget. 🏆

None of this would have been possible without the incredible amount of help from my family and friends. From helping me get the bike and everything else ready, lending me equipment to make life easier while I was over there, to the people who took 10 days off work to come over, run around after me and keep everything moving during the races and pit stops.

I genuinely can’t thank everyone involved enough. ❤️

To finally race around the TT course, achieve a 114.4mph lap, finish both races and come away with Best Prepared Bike is something I’ll never forget.

Manx GP – Day 1 🏁

First day done at the Manx GP! 🏍️🇮🇲

After 6 months of preparation, and thousands of £££ spent, it feels absolutely surreal to finally be heading down Bray Hill. 🤯

A huge thank you to everyone who has helped me get here, and to everyone who’s continuing to support and help me now I’m here. I genuinely couldn’t do it without you all.

Hopefully I can do everyone proud, do this place justice and put some good results and lap times on the board! 🤞

Quick roundup from Cadwell Park 🏁

Qualifying: P10 Overall | P9 in Class
Race 1: P10 Overall | P9 in Class
Race 2: P11 Overall | P10 in Class
Race 3: P11 Overall | P10 in Class

Coming into Cadwell I was confident in my pace, and qualifying backed that up. I set a lap just 0.5 seconds slower than my fastest race lap from last year, which gave me a strong starting position.

I knew if I could get onto the back of the leading group they would drag me along. By the end of lap one I was up to P8, but coming onto the straight the bike jumped out of gear, costing me several positions.

Overnight I changed the gearbox, but unfortunately on Sunday I just couldn’t find the pace I had at the start of the weekend, making it a fairly difficult round.

Rather than forcing the issue, I kept the bigger picture in mind. With the Manx Grand Prix only a couple of weeks away, I’m happy to leave Cadwell with both myself and the bike in one piece and ready for what’s next. Looking forward to getting over to the Island now! 💪🏍️

Oliver’s Mount – C**k O’ The North 🏁

Qualifying: P11

Race 1: P16 Overall | 6th in Class
Race 2: P11 Overall | 3rd in Class
Race 3: P10 Overall | 4th in Class
Feature Race: P8 Overall | 🥇 1st in Class

What an amazing weekend at Oliver’s Mount! We managed to lap over a second quicker than my previous PB from last month, so I’m really happy with the progress.

A poor start in Race 1 dropped me to the back of the field, so I decided to hang back, put in a fast lap, and secure a better grid position for the remaining Supersport races.

Races 2 and 3 were mega battles, bringing home 3rd and 4th in class, before finishing the weekend in the best possible way with 1st in class in the Feature Race! Absolutely over the moon with that result.
