Tonight was the last of our outdoor training sessions for our Junior Section. We’ve had some great sessions from all stars to U9s through to U17s - all working together as a club.

Thanks so much to the junior players and parents for their dedication. But, most of all to the coaches - without you this wouldn’t happen!

Without doubt one of the most impressive seasons for Middlesbrough Cricket Club Juniors. Especially, the ever growing girls section.

Congratulations to James Lowe on his terrific performance on Saturday against Marton. Carrying his bat through the innings meant the team posted 225. This went a long way in ensuring a winning draw!

⚫️🟣 Coach’s Cricket Debut ⚫️🟣

Our Middlesbrough Maiden’s Coach Julia swapped coaching for batting for a bit of friendly fun last night — and what a reception she got!

Loudly cheered on by her maidens and the women’s team, Julia stepped up to the crease and enjoyed every minute. Plenty of laughs and team spirit all round.

A huge shout out and good luck to Middlesbrough CC’s Umais and James, who are representing Cleveland SCA at the BA County Cricket U13 Festival at Barnard Castle this week! 🏏👏

After a narrow defeat to Northern Ireland on Monday, Cleveland bounced back brilliantly with a win over Suffolk yesterday. Umais took a wicket in an economical opening spell, while James hit the winning runs to complete the chase! 💪

Good luck to our players and the whole Cleveland team in their next group game today. 🏏

🚨WEEKEND RESULTS🚨

The 1st gained a winning draw against local rivals Marton. Loosing the toss and being asked to bat. A 2nd wicket partnership of 96 from James Lowe & Kyle Coetzer helped steady the nervous. But it was James Lowe who was the man of the moment hitting his 36TH 💯! Finishing 118* to see us to 225-8. With the ball Lowey made the big break through to removed Marton’s key man Ryan Gibson! Fez then made in roads taking 4-49 from his 15 overs. The visitors finishing 177-8.

The 2nds also played Marton but made the trip to the Parkway. Winning the toss and batting first Parker Lowe was the main man hitting 31 which included five 4’s and was supported by Gopal Singh 22. However when both fell, wickets become a plenty for the marton bowlers. In reply Seb large took 3 quick wickets to leave the hosts worrying at 32-3. But a comfortable 5 wicket win was in 27 overs.

Sunday saw the 3rds back at Acklam park but their struggles continued. 77 all out with a top score of 20. The run case was achieved for the lose of 5 wickets. Emmad taking 2-22 & Finley smith with 2-7.

Another great win on Sunday for Middlesbrough Ladies against Guisborough Cricket Club kindly hosted by Skelton Castle CC.

Middlesbrough came away with a great win after an excellent all-round team performance. The batting and bowling was superb again.
A special thank you goes to Emma and Natasha who stepped in at the very last minute to make their hardball debuts.
