Well girls, we said the win was coming and here it is. The day we've all been waiting for😁

From the get go today we dominated the entire match and played at a high tempo. Passing and moving was brilliant to see and communication was spot on. Every player on that pitch today did their job, worked hard for each other and played as a team. The first goal was amazing, crossed into the box for Amaya to finish off. Second goal was a penalty won by Darcy with her determination to keep moving and taking the players on. Emily stepped up and scored the penalty. Also well done to everyone for keeping a clean sheet. This is amazing girls, let's keep up this momentum going into next weeks game against Wombwell.

Overall I am very proud of you all for the hard work and determination you have put in to get us to this point and acheive the win today. Well done🟠⚫️

Manager's Player & Parents' Player went to Darcy. Darcy played her debut today and had a fantastic game, settled into the team perfectly and will go on to be a fantastic addition to the team. The ball control from Darcy was magnificent today. Well done.

Coach's player- Eva. Eva has had an amazing game today playing in both left and right back positions. After recently struggling with her confidence she really shone today and gave her best performance we have seen. Keep going Eva well done.

Yesterday our U11s had a friendly against Barnsley Juniors Oranges ⚽️🟠

Well done the boys!

This is what happens when you trust your coaches. We had a plan and you boys executed it perfectly. All the praise goes on you lads. You all put in the hard work on the field and ended up with a fantastic result. After a slow 5 minute start, the opposition moved the ball well, but once we got on the ball, moved it really fast and trusted each other, we ended the quarter strong 👏💪🧡🖤

BOBBY, definitely looked back to his old self tonight. Playing with a smile again and it really helps the team when your in this sort of mood dude. Epic performance 👏 whether it was using your silky footwork to drive us forward or playing those killer forward passes. Well done Bobinho 👏

TYRESE, really stepped forward lots in the past two weeks. This really helps the team. Your effort, work rate and pressure on defenders is great Ty. Always forcing mistakes that you can jump on 💪

U11s away against Retford FC Juniors

Well done lads! No harm in the result today. They were just better than us.They were very clinical up top, Retford really moved the ball well, pulling us out of shape. Just wasn't our day lads. Loads of great play throughout the game, before our heads went down in the last quarter.

Good performance from our U8s today! From conceding quite a few last week in an end to end game, to a solid defensive display today. After a goalless first half due to some good saves and great defending from both sides. We increased the pressure in the 3rd to go ahead. Retford battled back and converted there penalty in the last Q. Our team kept battling and some nice finishes saw the game go as we would have hoped.

Manager's Player - Charlie
A solid defensive display today, kept reading the game and going to meet the attackers. Kept calm and put some good challenges in. Well done matey!

Parents' Player - Ambrose
A good performance which saw you grow into the game well. Against a team much bigger than you, you kept looking for the ball and battling. In the right place and the right time most of the match and that saw you sn**ch a goal at the end. Great first time finish. Well done!

Not the result we wanted today Mexborough Knights U16s losing 5-1 in the county Cup, however playing a team 2 division above us.

The scoreline doesn't reflect the performance and effort our lads put in, I'm so proud of this team today.🖤🧡⚽️.

The opposition started strong and we did well to keep pressing and trying to win the ball back but credit to the other team they had some very big strong players who kept the ball well and our lads where chasing everything. Unfortunately we gifted them a couple of goals in the first half from not staying switched on in key moments. We went in 3-0 down at half time but the lads never let their spirit drop and battled for everything today.

We pulled a great goal back from young Pash who latched onto a ball over top, headed it into his stride and finished beautifully with his weaker foot into the corner giving the keeper no chance. However the opposition showed their strength and finished the game off. But I said to the lads after game we will probably learn more from this loss then any win this season because they all showed character and fight for each other as teams should💪. We go again UTMK 🧡🖤⚽️.

MOTM went to Sillah despite every forward in the other team being twice size of him he won every duel and battle thrown at him💪.

BRILLIANT U9s! 🧡🖤⚽

Our U9s travelled away to Finningley Harriers today and after a disappointing opening weekend last time out, we couldn’t be prouder of the response from every single one of them.

As coaches, we were disappointed with certain aspects of our attitude, effort and commitment last week. We know what this group is capable of, and we felt we didn’t show enough of the qualities that represent Mexborough Knights.

That led to a tough training session in midweek, some honest conversations and a real reset of expectations. Today, the kids answered every challenge we gave them. 👏

Finno kicked off and scored with virtually their first attack, which could easily have knocked our confidence. Instead, from that moment onwards, we saw the Knights fighting spirit we know this team has. 🧡🖤

The attitude completely changed. The work rate was superb, we battled for each other, defended as a team, played some excellent football and scored some fantastic goals. Most importantly, when things didn’t go our way, heads stayed up and everyone kept working.

It wasn’t just the football that pleased us today — it was the reaction.

That is the standard we want to see. Commitment, teamwork, determination and a willingness to work for the player next to you. We challenged the kids after last weekend and they responded in the best possible way.

Relentless energy across the entire pitch! Harlow never stopped working for the team and topped off a brilliant performance with a wonderful first-time finish. Well done, Harlow! 👏⚽

🏆 Managers’ Player of the Match — Maxx

Our skipper led by example today. A driving force throughout the game, showing determination, leadership and a fantastic attitude from start to finish. A wonderful captain’s performance. Well done, Maxx! 👏🧡

Our under 14 girls played the reverse fixture of last weekend away at AFC Pogmoor today.

We saw some great gameplay and great teamwork, the scoreline didn't really reflect our play and possession but the opposition players managed to stop our advances. Plenty of positives to take, Emily scoring early in the game to give us the lead and Emily and Amelia scoring our first 3 goals of the season. There is also plenty for us to work on in our upcoming training sessions as we are still seeing regular mistakes being made, which if we iron these out now I have no doubt we can go on to get on the win you all deserve. Over all another good performance and 3 goals under our belt.

Manager's Player- Emily. Fantastic attacking performance and 2 great goals under her belt and I'm sure plenty more to come.

Coach's Player- Millie. Millie consistently gives her all in her defensive position week in week out, and had stepped up more over the last couple of games and adjusting to any changes made.

Parents' Player- Amaya. Another player which has also had a fantastic start to this season. Another outstanding performance today, never stopped battling and creating some decent passes.

Just to give an additional shout out to Amelia T for scoring the 3rd goal on the game and Reeva for her link up play to create the goals.

Our U14 girls kicked off their 26/27 season this weekend against Afc Pogmoor.

The first half performance - despite conceding an early goal the girls battled really well playing fast flowing football and getting some really good shots at goal. We were unlucky to not be in the lead at half time with Pogmoors goalkeeper making some fantastic saves keeping it 1-0 at the break.

Second half we didn't start off as we ended the first and gave Pogmoor opportunites to create chances. We did step it back up again but sadly we just couldn't find the back of the net.

Overall a great performance for our first game back and we have every confidence in the girls for this season.

Manager's Player- Leah
Leah was awarded manager's player for a brilliant performance in defence and the brilliant tackles she put in and helping the team to push forward.

Parents' Player and Coach's Player- Amaya
Amaya was awarded both parents' player and coach's player for her her fantastic peformance in midfield and amazing team work on the pitch.
