🌤️🎾 Tennis Sessions – Cancellation 🎾

Afternoon all,

Unfortunately, I’m going to have to cancel tomorrow’s tennis sessions.

As most of you will know, my primary employment is as a wholetime firefighter with South Wales Fire and Rescue Service. The last few weeks have been extremely difficult, and the service has declared a major incident due to the number of wildfires across South Wales.

Having worked the last three days, doing 12-hour days and a 17-hour shift on the side of a mountain last night, and being back in again tonight, I can’t guarantee that I’ll be finished in time to set up for the sessions.

More importantly, I wouldn’t be able to run the sessions safely due to the lack of sleep.

I’m really sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, and I hope you all understand. ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who has come along to the sessions over the last three weeks. It’s been fantastic seeing everyone enjoying themselves and getting involved. 🎾😊

I’ll be back after the summer holidays to restart the after-school tennis sessions, and I look forward to seeing you all then!

Looking for something fun and active for the children this summer? Come and join H&G Inclusive Sports Wales for our fun tennis sessions at Merthyr Tydfil Tennis Club 🎾

📅 Dates: • Monday 3rd August • Monday 10th August • Monday 17th August
🕙 10:00–12:00 – Ages 4–8
🕧 12:30–14:30 – Ages 8–13
💷 £8 per child or £10 including an ice cream! 🍦

We're delighted to have recently been sponsored by Mogsy Belle Thanks to their support, we're hoping to have an ice cream van visit each session, giving the children an extra treat after enjoying their tennis. 🍦🎉

🎾 Please note: These are fun participation sessions led by a Tennis Activator. The focus is on enjoyment, being active, and developing skills through games and activities rather than formal tennis coaching.
No previous experience is needed – just come along, have fun, make new friends and develop your tennis skills in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

📩 There's no online booking form for these sessions. It's simply turn up and play! To help me plan each session, I'd really appreciate it if parents could send me a message beforehand to let me know if they'll be attending with their child.

Spaces still available for this weeks free park tennis. All equipment is provided, just bring yourselves and a drink!

This is a fantastic partnership between ourselves, Tennis, LTA - Tennis For Britain, Active Merthyr Tydfil, Halo Leisure Merthyr Tydfil Leisure Centre and Cyfarthfa Park Cafe & Splash Pad
