Message from Jamie, manager of Cardiff City Foundation Kicks Programme:

🌟 A special evening celebrating an amazing group of young people & parents at our Inclusive Kicks site in Merthyr, rounding off the season with their second Presentation Evening! 🏆

We were also joined by the mayor and councillor of Merthyr as well as partners from the council. With special mention going to Dan Bufton.

Over the past two years, a fantastic steering group has been created by parents, guardians and carers, helping to grow not only the programme but also a truly special community built on friendships, inclusion and support.

Their hard work has seen them:

📣 Raise awareness across the local community
🌟 Utilise support from partners to make this presentation evening one the young people will always remember.

A huge thank you to Darren for your continued dedication and commitment in taking this site forward year after year, creating opportunities and unforgettable memories for the young people with a great support network within the group behind you and driving it. 👏

Great session tonight at Merthyr Inclusive kicks football, Skills & Drills then into 10 minute round robin football games.

Thats a rap as we break up for Christmas at our cardiff city fc foundation Inclusive kicks sessions at Merthyr Tydfil. Massive thanks to Rhys and IR Energy & N3Xus for donating section boxes to all the kids and volunteers.

Even Bartley turned up to help hand them out, merry Christmas everyone involved xx

Brilliant session last night and it was nice to welcome a new Cardiff City Foundation Coach and fair play Meg jumped straight in and got involved.

Plus don’t stress as the summer holidays start as we will be running still throughout the 6 weeks holiday.

Well I think everyone will agree that our first Merthyr inclusive presentation night was a huge success. Every single one of the children and young people had a blast and loved their trophies. This could not have been possible without all the awesome mam's, dad's, grandparents, and carers pulling together to fund raise by selling raffle tickets, or without all the wonderful people who contributed to the gifts for the raffle. We raised over £500 leaving £200 for our next event. Thank you everyone, but a special shout out to the following for donating prizes...

Darren Davies named as Community Captain for Premier League More Than A Game initiative | Cardiff Cardiff City FC Community Foundation has named Darren Davies as their Premier League Community Captain.

Not posted in a long while but we are definitely going from strength to strength at our Merthyr Kicks sessions.
