The senior selection panel has announced the athletes who will represent the team at this year’s European Orienteering Championships 2026 , which take place in Lithuania later this month from 22-27 September 2026.

This month the NWG Network will be hosting Active Bystander Actions training.

🗓️Monday 28 September 2026 via Teams.
⏰Starts at 18:30 for 90 mins

Learn about Active Bystander Actions by knowing when and how to intervene safely. You will learn more about the role that everyone can play in keeping sport safer for all.

The sessions are for coaches, club welfare officers, volunteers, parents and guardian and anyone involved in the sport!

SportsShoes' Quid Games is evolving into SportsShoes' O-Games.

The rebranding puts orienteering front and centre as the series enters its next chapter, helping introduce even more people to the challenge, strategy and adventure that make our sport unique.

Since launching with SportsShoes, the events have connected a new audience of participants and brands with orienteering for the first time, increasing awareness of the sport and showcasing it for the brilliant sport it is.

And this is only the beginning.

As SportsShoes put it: "Quid Games proved the concept. O-Games is where we take it to another level."

Did you know that in just over 11 months time the biggest Scottish Orienteering Event is coming to Perthshire?

The Scottish 6 Days will be celebrating 50 years of this bi-annual event in Perthshire 1st to 6th August 2027!

This is a multi-day event which attracts around 3000 orienteers and their families to spend a week staying in Perthshire, taking part in multiple orienteering days and sightseeing and spending money in the area.

Usually the event brings around £3 million to the area.

During the day the runners will be running around the forests searching for their controls BUT the rest of the time they and their families will be looking for fun activities to do, restaurants to eat at and over the coming months they'll be looking for places to stay!

So, this is a fab opportunity if you have a business in Perthshire that people visiting on their orienteering holiday might want to use!

So, tag us if you have a hotel or a restaurant or a fun activity that a sporty/orienteering family will want to try out while they're here!

Orienteers are really nice and friendly and this event attracts people not just from the UK but also from abroad - orienteering is very popular in the Scandie countries!! And they love buying souvenirs to commemorate their awesome 2027 orienteering holiday!
