I also never listen to podcasts or read self help books, and I bloody love a glass of wine!

You're in the right place if you're done with treating your body like a science experiment and ready to do 'health' because it makes you feel good and brings you joy 🙂

8 things I eat on repeat as a nutritionist:

1. Greek yogurt
Obsessed with my yogurt bowl at breakfast and pretty much have the same thing on repeat every day.
A great way to get calcium AND protein in.

2. Toasted sourdough (so basic!)
Topped with anything!
Bread is life.

3. Loads of fruit
Anyone telling you fruit is bad for you must be immediately ignored.

4. Carrots and hummus
Always .kitchen hummus!

5. Eggs
So versatile for quick and easy meals and snacks.
If you haven't tried boiled eggs slathered in soy sauce, you haven't lived!

6. Bold Bean co. Chickpeas
I throw them into EVERYTHING or just eat them straight from the jar!

7. Hot chocolate
Every.single.night.
Since I was a kid I have always had a pre-bedtime hot chocolate.
So childish, so good, my bones love me for it.

8. Satay sauce
There is NO better sauce, I could literally drink it!

So, that's me, what about you?

What do you eat on repeat?

Tell me below, the weirder the better (can you top boiled eggs and soy sauce?)

-Give up on perfect and embrace consistency.

-The boring basics are where your focus should be.

-Eat plants, and lots of them.

-Find exercise that you actually love and will stick to.

-Health is about more than diet and exercise, never neglect your mind and your joy.

-Reduce the overwhelm and keep things simple, repeatable and sustainable.

If this sounds like a bit of you, but you're struggling to put the pieces together for yourself then comment 'Comeback' in my DMs and find out more about my group coaching course- the next intake starts in November.

We keep things simple, we remove the overwhelm and we set you up with a simple bullsh free structure you can maintain for life.

Yes it can be possible to trust yourself around a packet of biscuits.

Try these tips:

1. Eat proper meals
You're less likely to hit that totally starving, need something NOW rampage.

2. Make those meals actually taste nice
If you're not satisfied by your meal you will seek that satisfaction from elsewhere (cue biscuits...).

3. Pause before you eat
Ask yourself if you really want them or if you actually need something else.
This stops you acting on impulse.

4. Look at your stress and sleep
When you're exhausted and burnt out you're way more likely to ditch the fruit bowl and dive into the biscuits.

5. Eat biscuits (or insert your 'trigger' food) every day
Yes really.
This stops the food having such a hold over you.
If you have it every day and ALLOW yourself to have it you'll become less interested in it.

Try these and let me know how you get on :)

I saw this on account.

It's some tough love and it's so true.

We all say 'we have no time' but if we don't shift our priorities to make some time we're heading to that break down.

It doesn't need to be difficult or complicated or time consuming.

Add 10 minutes of walking to your day.

Eat an extra vegetable at lunch.

Go to bed half an hour earlier.

Stop doom scrolling(!).

Small changes, huge impact.

Quick answer - no.

On the surface there is nothing wrong with following someones made up 'anti-inflammatory diet for fat loss' program.

These programs are usually based on a healthy Mediterranean style of eating and encourage stress reduction.

BUT the problem lies in the extra 'rules' they throw in.

Adding special rules makes it seem like this program has something special to offer.

But the 'rules' are at best pointless, and at worse, potentially harmful.

You don't need to complicate things by trying to work on your so called 'inflammation'.

These added rules and restrictions can often make things worse.

Focus on finding a way to be in a calorie deficit that works for you instead.

‘Only eat organic’
‘Only lift as heavy as you can for 5 reps’
‘Take magnesium to help your sleep’
‘Add electrolytes to your water’

Most people barely eat enough fruit and veg, barely get enough exercise, barely drink enough water and spend their evenings doom scrolling into an anxious state.
We don’t need organic food, supplements and specific rep ranges.
We just need to get the basics done and find a way to be consistent with them.
These complex ‘rules’ are appealing because they make it seem like a quick and easy fix.
But none of these things will move the needle on your health.
What will?
Eating balanced meals every day
Filling your plate with veggies
Turning your phone off and going for a walk or going to bed
Finding exercise you love and enjoy and will stick to.

Stop over complicating things, and stop burying your head in the supplement sand.

Keep it simple đŸ‘ŒđŸ»
