🦢 PRESIDENTS WELCOME TO THE SEASON 🦢

As the new season approaches, as we look ahead to the new season, there is plenty to be excited about across the club.

It has been a very different summer, particularly with the challenges presented by the weather and the condition of our pitches. Thanks to a tremendous collective effort, we have made significant progress in recovering them, although there is still work to do.

Our ladies', colts', and senior teams have all worked incredibly hard throughout pre-season and are ready to return with energy, commitment, and pride. With the RFU season start delayed by two weeks, there is a real sense of anticipation as everyone looks forward to getting back into competitive action.

This past weekend marked the return of our mini and youth sections.

Our clubhouse is an important part of club life, and we want everyone to feel proud of it. It has recently been redecorated, with further enhancements planned over the coming weeks, so we encourage all members and visitors to help us keep it welcoming, respectful, and enjoyable for everyone.Simon and his team are looking forward to welcoming you throughout the season.

As ever, the strength of our club comes from the people within it, our players, parents, coaches, volunteers, supporters, and visitors. Please get involved wherever you can: volunteer your time, support our teams, attend events, and help us create a club environment we can all enjoy and be proud of.

Thank you to everyone who continues to give their time, energy, and support to the club. Your contribution makes a real difference, and we are grateful for everything you do.

🦢 MINIS AND YOUTH ARE BACK 🦢

What a fantastic start to the year with our Minis and Youth yesterday!

Great to see so many future superstars down to get stuck in for another season, and we’re sure there are more still to show up!

Also how great to have 1XV Coaches and Players down to work with and talk to the players! Here’s to next weekend where we will have our bring and buy sale on, donate old kit and try to snap up some second hand bits for the coming year. We will share more soon!

🦢 Club Captains Welcome Back 🦢

Dear Members,

The long, sweaty summer break is over and we can finally, officially, welcome rugby back down at Riverwoods!

I hope you had a restful and enjoyable few weeks and are raring to go for the upcoming season. I’m excited to spend the next few weeks popping down on Sundays to watch some training and/or games! Please feel free to come and have a chat with me if you see me.

You’ll notice some significant changes around the club if you haven’t visited in a while. Firstly, Cultivate Gym is up and running and is already firmly a wonderful asset to have at the club. The gym area has been completely redeveloped and is now run by Cultivate. Please pop over to check it out and say hi to Will and the team.

Secondly, the Brolly Bar has had a serious facelift! A welcoming area now that will be up and in use in the near future!

The clubhouse itself has also been redecorated, fresh lick of paint and now looking and feeling new and improved. The next steps in the redecorating will be in the men’s toilets which will be getting a well needed overhaul in the coming weeks so watch this space, and the Members Bar/Side Room, will be getting a makeover, with hopes to get as many team photos up on the walls from over the years, canvases of action shots from across the club and a more homely feel for our members to enjoy.
