In October, one of our amazing U12 coaches, Jenson Middlemass will be taking on the huge challenge of running 100KM to raise money and awareness for Cancer Research UK.

It’s going to be a tough challenge, but knowing that he is helping raise money for such an important cause will make every kilometre worth it. 💪❤️

🦸‍♂️ MEET OUR GRASSROOTS SUPERHERO – RYAN! 💙🤍

Some superheroes wear capes... ours somehow manages to coach two teams!

This week we're celebrating our incredible Under 10 & Veterans coach, Ryan – a true grassroots hero whose passion, commitment and energy are felt across every corner of March Academy FC.

Whether he's leading our Under 10s, pulling on the boots with the Veterans or juggling both with ease, multitasking is definitely Ryan's superpower!

A proud Norwich City supporter (along with the rest of his family! 💛💚), Ryan brings the same passion to the touchline that made Darren Eadie his footballing hero. He admits he's sometimes too passionate – but that passion comes from wanting the very best for every player he coaches.

For Ryan, the best part of grassroots football is simple: the togetherness and seeing people enjoy it. That's exactly the atmosphere he helps create every week.

Behind every great coach is an amazing support team, and we'd also like to give a huge shoutout to his wife, Georgina – a dedicated, loyal and passionate committee member who works tirelessly behind the scenes and plays an incredibly important role in our Football Family. 💙

This season, Georgina's outstanding commitment was rightly recognised when she was presented with Club Person of the Year and became the very worthy recipient of The Mandy Welcher Memorial Shield – a fitting tribute to everything she does for our club, our volunteers, our players and our community. 🏆

Ryan's message to anyone thinking about volunteering says it all:

Our volunteers are the heartbeat of March Academy FC, and Ryan and Georgina are fantastic examples of what makes grassroots football so special.

🦸‍♂️💙 MEET OUR GRASSROOTS SUPERHEROES – THE NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK! 💙🦸‍♂️

Every superhero story has a beginning, and this week we're celebrating four coaches whose journey started as football parents and has grown into something truly special.

A huge shoutout and warm welcome to our newest recruits, our Under 7 coaches Jonni, Jeff, David and Matthew – the New Kids on the Block at March Academy FC.

These four have stepped up, pulled on the club colours and become part of our incredible team of Grassroots Heroes, helping create the best possible start for our youngest footballers.

Whether it's Jonni's passion for making football accessible to everyone, Jeff's love of seeing the development of the kids, or David and Matthew bringing fresh energy, enthusiasm and commitment to our Under 7s, they're already making a real difference on and off the pitch.

What makes this even more special is that they all started where so many of our volunteers do – as parents cheering from the sidelines before deciding to get involved and give something back.

They've embraced our March Academy FC Football Family, and we couldn't be more grateful for everything they do for our players, our teams, our club and our community.

The future is incredibly exciting with these coaches on board, and we can't wait to see them continue to grow alongside our young footballers.

Our coaches are the backbone of March Academy FC. They're the first high-fives after a goal, the encouragement after a tough moment, the smiling faces at training every week, and the people helping create memories that last a lifetime.
